  1. Freddy and Delcie stopped by The Ranch and visited with us. They plant stay for one week. A dinner date is planed.
  2. Ron and Linda There is a good camp 70 miles south of Jackson, WY. It is on the green river (good fly fishing.) and Great host, Tom and Diane. They are from our class. It is on highway U. S. 191, MM 120 .
  3. Hello Ron and Linda, welcome to this random group of travelers. Glyn and Diane here in Lakewood NM,for now. We will be attending the Escapade in Goshen, IN this year in May, our first time. If anyone else gets there please stop in and say hello. We always have extra chairs available.
  4. You just never know who will show up on your doorstep. We had the pleasure of meeting Ed & Lyn (Lynlou) Gilespe today here at The Original Ranch in Lakewood, NM. They walked to our rig and started talking to Glyn, and being shy as he is, he learned who they were right off. We would like to thank Delsie for the hotdogs and mustard we enjoyed for supper tonight, that was real thoughtful of you to send them along. We had a great visit during and after the happy hour here and tomorrow they will venture to Carlsbad to see the sights. Hope everyone out there is doing fine, we are hanging out here until the middle of April and will then make our way to Goshen for the boot camp and escapade and Amish made cheese, pretzels, bread, cookies yummm. I wonder if they make ice cream?? Diane & Glyn
  5. Just get out the 'tubas' and set them on the picnic table. That will keep all those intruders away from parking too close to your spot. Or be like the Blue Bird group and play that musical horn every hour on the hour. That should leave plenty of room for the rest of us. Hope you all have safe travels. We are still in Bisbee waiting on that tooth fairy. I think someone must have clipped her wings and she is out there in the desert wandering around. Maybe the border patrol will find her and bring her in for us. See you all soon❇❇
  6. Steve "All things are possible". ......"The impossible just takes longer."
  7. We are in Bisbee, Az. The tooth fairy had to make a second trip to the USA to get my teeth. I had to make a second trip to Mexico for her to get what she forgot. Maybe we can get out of here by the 13 th out rent is due then and head to Q. We will spend 1/2 day in Tucson for supplies and visit with friends. Safe travels Glyn
  8. Jack Thank you for the new sight. I like it. Glyn
  9. Sounds like for every crappy thing that happens in this group at least someone has a good story to share. Sorry to hear some are sick and hope they recoop soon, congratulations on that new granddaughter, fires are for outside silly. We had to go back to the dentist today as they should have made two sets of impressions for Glyn and only did one set. This will put us leaving here later than planned as well. We'll make it to Q eventually. You all be careful in this new year.
  10. Thanks again, see you soon, now we have plenty of paper to start those campfires with.lol. Diane
  11. Roger and others Look on page 66 of Nov/Dec. for the article I have written. "Driving tips" Diane said "You will know it by my picture at the end of it." {What a handsome fellow} Ha Ha, LOL Glyn
  12. I talked to our friend Lisa Koca and she said she would call them on Monday to be sure they would get a box ready for pick up. I gave them your name to put on it. She is in CA right now so just asked to remember the time change and not go too early.lol❇ Hope your having good weather there ours has been great over here, sunny days and cool evenings. Thanks again Diane
  13. Lavines.....Thank you, thank you. You just have to go to the admin. Office at the front of the mail building. Walk straight in and ask who ever is at the little window for a box of the Nov/Dec issue so we can pass them out in Quartzsite. They gave us a full box of July/August that our friend has an article in so she can pass them out and Glyn's article is in the Nov/ Dec so we can give some to the kids and then pass out the rest for advertising. We will be heading toward Q Jan 8th if all goes well and will meet up with you there around the campfire someplace in the desert, or dessert whichever we find first. Thanks again for your help. Let us know if you have a problem and I will call my friend in the office for help. Diane and Glyn too.
  14. Just noticed you were going to be in Livingston, are you still there or was it just a stop over? We are looking for someone to pick up a box of the Nov/Dec Escapee magazine for us to hand out. That issue had just come out when we were there and they would not let us have a full box at that time, they said we had to wait. But of course we had to leave. Or, if anyone is stopping at Rainbows End before Q we would be willing to trade a box of this issue magazine for some of Silly Al's pizza ( unless we can find some of that special cranberry juice instead ) We are still in Bisbee, AZ waiting on that tooth fairy and will head toward Q after she arrives. Hope everyone had a great holiday and see you soon.
  15. Wanderin I will take the batteries you don't want. Glyn
  16. Diane and I are at The Ranch in Lakewood, NM. until the 12 th. then Besbee, AZ. two weeks. Slowly marching to "Q".
  17. Lee Our internet is interment, so are you at The Ranch in Lakewood NM? If so our space there is 55 look it over to see if there is any flood damage, please. looking forward to see you in Q. everyone else also. safe travels glyn
  18. Glyn and I are in Nashville getting ready to hit the Natchez Trace for some ancestor search in MS on our way to Livingston. We will stock up on some of this Appleshine they have here for campfire heat. I should check out the pins better, we missed Don F in MI, I just spent two weeks in Sylvania, OH and Glyn came for the weekend to get me. We could have met. I spent a whole summer at a campground in Ottawa Lake when we first bought our rig and Glyn officiated church services a few times when the other guys were a 'no show'. Sorry we missed that opportunity, I'll have to get better at keeping an eye out for the rest of this class as we criss/cross near each other. Kind of like 'Where's Waldo' Y'all have a safe weekend.
  19. Glyn and I are visiting some of our grandchildren while he is adding a storage box to his truck. It will be nice to keep our bikes and grill under cover along with a stash of firewood. He is in Nashville while I am in Toledo, kind of a mini vacation for us both. We will be staying at Plamosa Road a bit before and after Big Tent but will be with the Driving School bunch wherever they land during that time. We will keep up to date so we know where to find that nightly campfire and join in when possible.
  20. Steve When you stop and need to go to sleep soon, open the hatch to the engine. That lets the heat out faster. I did that on the Class C that I had. You other MH people can do that also. You can see us in Wy. it is not far from Co.
  21. Sorry you had such a crazy day. Is there a full moon tonight??
  22. Lee, we had a camper here for a week and when he left today we all decided we knew you. He spends time at the slabs and is a LOW and when we invited him to visit us in Q we mentioned we had other campers that were LOW's and one was named Lee. He said I know a couple of Lee's, does he do wood carving? Small world. His name is Bill from SD with a 22' motorhome and a very well mannered Springer Spaniel named Bella. He is now on his way to MT and then SD but would like to come to Q to join in on the fun and evening campfires. Just wanted to let you know your warm smile and charming personality is known nationwide. Stay cool, 80's here with smoke coming from Yellowstone and Utah today. Hope the wind changes soon. Diane & Glyn too.
  23. Lee We are at 7300 ft. is that low enough for you to breath? We got no cowgirls, but it is cool 73 high yesterday and 35 when I got up today. You can stay two weeks here. The wind blows enough to keep the wood savings cleared out while you carve. For the test of You We are in Wy. The weather is good. We leave October 1 for Nashville, Tn. November 5, we will be in Livingston, Tx. for Boot Camp. I will have RV driving school lesson to give there. Linda Good to here you are thing about getting in the process if getting ready to move again. I understand the getting up before noon. I have trouble getting up also. It was 5 ;45 this morning before I go out of bed. lol
  24. Toni is pilots knob in Ca.? I checked with Ca. DOT and CHP and I am not allowed to be in California.
  25. We will be in Livingston for Boot Camp and then to San Antonio for the rest of November.
