    Water

If boondocking you wouldn't have a place to dump your portable tank. You don't just dump it on the ground!
  2. You might want to consider a small Class C motorhome or a Class B. Then you wouldn't really need a car and you could easily drive from place to place yourself. Do you know that your present car needs to be towed on a dolly? Many do not. You can just use a tow bar behind the motorhome. . easier than a dolly. However, even if you used a dolly and you only move 2-3x/year that's not a big deal. I'm sure you could have someone from the RV park help you with the dolly if that would be an issue.

    Water

So... only laundry water goes in the 3rd tank? That wouldn't help when boondocking and not doing laundry since no hookups. What is the capacity of the actual sink/shower grey?

    Water

We could go 2 weeks on our tanks but we didn't do dishes every day. Wiped them with a used paper towel or napkins & put them out of sight in the dishpan under the sink. Wiped out the fry pan & veggie pot with a clean, damp paper towel and reused them. When doing dishes 1/2 dishpan of water was plenty since the dishes looked clean to begin with. The dishpan water was used for flushing the toilet. Never leave water run needlessly.... on/off. Navy showers only and not every day. Our 300w of solar in the Western sun allowed us to go indefinitely. Of course, we didn't watch TV.... read or were outside doing things instead. Conservation is the key. EDIT: I just looked up your tank sizes & if true you have 54 gal fresh; 118 gray; 43 black I wonder why they did the grey as the biggest. It should be the fresh. Strange. We had 105 fresh; 65 grey; 45 black
  5. I'm glad you're OK now but if it happens again get yourself to the ER. I don't want to alarm you but a dear acquaintance had the exact same issues with very sudden overly high BP and excruciating headache and he had a cerebral hemorrhage and hasn't been the same since. ๐Ÿ˜ž His BP was always normal. Years ago there was a big push on taking a daily baby aspirin to prevent a heart attack. He took one daily for years and docs attributed it to weakening a blood vessel and he had a brain bleed. Sorry... I don't want to alarm you but it just struck a nerve of remembrance.
  6. What did your doctor say about the sudden spike in blood pressure? Did you have and scans to see what the issue is? Please don't let it go as it could be serious.
  7. Here's a good one that I just read today. Motorcyclist approached Titus Canyon Road in Death Valley which was barricaded and closed from recent flooding. His mapping app said it was open so he went around the barricades and eventually got marooned and had to have a helicopter rescue! https://www.nationalparkstraveler.org/2023/11/motorcyclists-rescued-after-driving-closed-titus-canyon-road-due-incorrect-map-app
  8. We've done that when volunteering at national parks. They were also given a hefty fine.
  9. When the road turned to gravel they should have turned around right there. Folks nowadays don't carry maps .... probably because they can't read them.
  10. The brokers selling Advantage plans are making a good salary that's why they are being pushed so aggressively.
  11. Think about this..... have you ever read on a forum or heard elsewhere that 'it was proven' that people got sick from drinking water from their tanks or getting bad water? I haven't. Parks - private, national, state are not going to risk huge lawsuits because of not having safe water for the RVers. Having volunteered in national and state parks I know the water is tested regularly. Now... if you use water from the side of a fuel station or similar I wouldn't rely on it being tested continuously. Just use common sense on where you get your water and you'll be just fine.
  12. My best to both of you. Yes, it's difficult but I think we all knew it wouldn't last forever. You've made good contributions to this forum.
  13. Yes, the park are all the white squiggly park roads on the left side above Aguanga. Terrible! This video shows that they dropped retardant on some of the RVs in the park: https://abc7.com/brush-fire-aguanga-firefighters-highland/13994091/

    RV length ?

Sorry.... didn't realize that. I have corrected it. So if a site is stated to be 45' typically, unless you lucked out, a 45' 5th wheel and tow vehicle would not fit which is what the OP is asking.

    RV length ?

We volunteered in public and national parks. When they state 45' that would be their 'guesstimate' of the pad size. Therefore, it's your trailer & tow vehicle or motorhome & towed vehicle.. Having said that..... we found that those length size of sites are not very accurate. They are, most likely, given a number by someone driving by on the road and marking it down and quite often, by someone (a ranger) who doesn't even RV and has no idea how big rigs would fit on a site. One gig was in Rocky Mtn. Nat'l Park ..... we assigned sites to incoming reservations and soon found it difficult to find a site for long RVs. We knew from walking the campground that there were more big sites than the chart in the office we had to go by..... which was done many years ago. So we asked if we could make a new chart & actually measure the sites. Having a 40' MH also help to judge if a big rig could even get into a site even though the site may be long enough but with trees and turns it may be very difficult. We came up with a new chart and found so many additional bigger sites than the original chart had. The rangers were amazed!
  16. Wow! This post is 4 yr. old!! Maybe start a new post with your specific needs.
  17. FOLIVIER: This is the site you gave: https://www.us50info.com/ but all it states is to the end of December 2023.
  18. Rick & Lynn Dahl owned it for 24 yr. In 2016 Dave & Tracey Brannam took it over. Not sure what site you're on to buy robes, etc. https://www.rvwaterfilterstore.com/about-us
  19. Here's an interesting chart state-by-state of Medicare costs: https://www.medigap.com/faqs/medicare-cost-every-state/ Sales Tax by State: https://taxfoundation.org/data/all/state/2023-sales-tax-rates-midyear/ Income Tax by state: https://taxfoundation.org/data/all/state/best-worst-state-income-tax-codes-2023/
  20. This is an old post but may help in what you want to do: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/f80/info-on-how-non-us-citizens-can-buy-an-rv-250375.html
  21. The campground should have had the trailer towed off the site if the trailer owner didn't pay for that night & just left it. If you had a reservation for that specific site the campground owner should have also given you a 3-night gift certificate to use at another time. This doesn't say much for the campground!
  22. In other words, a sterile-looking field. ๐Ÿคจ
  23. The very popular 49ers Celebration in November has been moved to a casino/rv park. That surely won't be the same for this fun event! https://deathvalley49ers.org/
  24. Missouri is definitely not the place you want to be in winter .... or summer. We grew up there! You'll want a place that doesn't have snowstorms, ice storms or high humidity in summer. Surprisingly, you may want to try Benson, Tombstone, Bisbee, Sierra Vista, Arizona. Nice enough summers because of low humidity and elevation helps, also. In winter you'll have many warmish days but could have cold nights. Occasional snow but usually melts in a day. There's a wonderful Escapee co-op park in Benson, AZ. It's a very popular place in winter and there are many summer residents, also. We spent many winters there.... a very friendly park and very helpful Escapee members , if needed. There is no perfect weather place except San Diego area perhaps but then trying to find a reasonable place to stay would be very difficult.
