Tugg-n-Ridley
We head south from Jackson, WY in the morning. Cold weather this last week tested my silks for sure, 11 degrees makes it very hard for me to get out of bed. this week in Zion, then Las Vegas, then coast east thru the southwest, finishing in Houston for Christmas. After Chrismas we are gonna real estate shop for a small home or RV port in Summerdale - Orange Beach, Alabama area. Our 1999 Avion needs to come off the road and serve out its life as a vacation cabin. LOL, was just thinking, if we spend winters in Alabama in Ridley (our 5th wheel) and get a new rig for summers in Wyoming, does that make us fulltimers, parttimers, halftimers or snowbirds GLAD GLAD GLAD to see you hitting the pavement again STEVE!!! I still tell that story about our tequila tasting in Progresso, haha @Dick and Paula .....where is Buckeye? Barbaraok
Had the first cataract removed - what a difference! Really happy with the result, went from 20/200 in that eye to 20/25 in 24 hours! And the colors are so much better without seeing through a 'fog'. Right eye in just under 2 weeks - glad I decided to get both done back to back , would hate to have to wait a year for improvement. Tugg-n-Ridley
Barb, glad to hear your eye surgery went well. My vision aggravates me most about aging! Winds here in Vegas are gusting over 25mph so we delay our departure till Tuesday. We are headed for 2 months at the Sunflower Resort in Surprise, AZ. This will be our first stay at one of these parks. Hoping to see some of yall and have a nice vacation. We have already set up an excellent medical oncologist for Juanita in Chandler and will get going on resolving her issues immediately after our arrival in Queen Creek. We are eager to see some sunlight after 14" of rain along the Oregon coast during the past couple of weeks. Have a great winter Judy!! Jeff & Suzanne
Hi all. . .it's been a while since we have posted here. We are living in Homewood, Illinois in a pleasant stix 'n brix with a huge picture window looking out on a wooded front yard with hummingbirds, squirrels and the occasional cottontail. We lost our beloved friend, Madison, to cancer yesterday, and we are experiencing a huge hole in our hearts; but it is tempered by the memory of watching Madison watching the parade of wildlife in her front yard. We will heal in time, but it is hard losing our friend who has traveled with us the entire time we have been in an RV. . .be it Airstream or Foretravel. foggymtn
Howdy everyone, We arrived at the Skyline RV Resort in San Tan Valley last week and have finally gotten everything set up for our winter visit. Juanita will have her first appointment with the medical oncologist this Friday and will more than likely begin some sort of chemotherapy very soon. She feels perfectly fine and shows no obvious symptoms of the diagnosed leukemia. Both of us look forward to seeing anyone heading to the Phoenix area this winter. Juanita wants to stay as active as her treatments allow and we are very positive that this problem can be managed for the long term. We look forward to seeing some of you soon........... Barbaraok
Gordon, We should be in Mesacon the 13th or 14th. We getting routine service done this year before we set up for the winter. Barbaraok
We are now ensconced at Mesa Spirit, site V107. Had a long day today getting the coach serviced - in addition to the usual oil change, lube, filters, etc., we had the generator serviced and the Smart Wheel "black box" replaced. We once again have 4-way flashers, the windshield washer works, the driving lights work, etc. We have 'made do' without those working, but decided we had 'made do' long enough.
