I'm in So Cal, so I feel ya.  Not sure what part of Cali you would be in but SKP park is in Aguanga, near Temecula.  Could be an option.  Or another could be Meadowbrook Senior RV Park that has some visitor sites for reasonable price.  In Lake Elsinore/Perris area on SH 74.

Not sure if the Escapee Co-Op near Temecula is open to new arrivals. Close by is Pechenga Casino but that may be closed also.

Yes - including tattoo and nail parlors. We're hunkered down in Georgia and will now have to consider everyone suspect again...

I'm curious why a tattoo parlor or nail salon/hair dresser/barber shop can not social distance as well or better than a grocery store. How many people does a single tattooist, manicurist, hair dresser, or barber work on at the same time? Many make appointments, so they could space out their customers (much easier than say a grocery store), disinfect between customers, wear protective equipment, etc. It seems that many of the closures and restrictions have been very arbitrary. How many people can fit on a surf board and why is social distancing so hard that surfing needs to be banned?

Boy be careful in Georgia, that governor is even opening theaters and all sorts of stuff in that state.

We never went to theaters before the pandemic, no reason to start now. Georgia State Parks never closed. Private campgrounds/RV parks in Florida never closed. I am not sure I understand why some states did close campgrounds. Social distancing in a campground/RV park is not that hard. If you can put the slides and awning out you are likely more than six feet away from your neighbors. We have been doing it throughout this pandemic. Group events at the campgrounds being curtailed, and facilities being closed I can understand. We never used them before, no reason to start now.

Jojoba Hills at Aguanga is closed to non-co-op members at this time.

Could you stay six feet away from someone while you give them a tattoo or do their hair or nails? My arms aren't that long.

If they are wearing appropriate protective equipment, do they really need to be six feet apart? They could be tested and monitored, stay home if they are sick, just like the Walmart employees. I have seen many grocery stores where the cashier and the customers are not six feet apart. If the server at a drive-in food service actually hands the customer their food, I doubt that they are six feet apart? I suspect that these folks encounter far more customers in a day than a tattooist, manicurist or barber. Their work area can not be/ is not disinfected between every customer. So who presents the greater public risk of spreading the virus?

It seems most folks on this forum are willing to self isolate (possibly for a very long time), so why not just lockup all the old folks and those with medical conditions that make them susceptible to a bad outcome from Covid-19 and let the younger, healthier folks make a living and enjoy life while they develop the herd immunity instead of ruining the US and world economy?

We HAD a plan.  Some mechanical work on the coach in Florida, then a grandson's high school graduation in New Hampshire. We were working the routing and timing for an exploration of  Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.

Hopefully a 60th high school reunion in August is not cancelled.

We are in a spin.  Still don't have a clue except the reunion.

At least we know that any plans are on hold until our mechanical work is complete. I spent today running around for parts. Found some but need to order the rest. One parts wanted $465 per brake shoe, two per wheel. Talked with USCoach and found the parts at about half that price plus shipping.  Thanks for friends who are great mechanics and listened when I said something not right with the right front during the last 150 miles. So now it's both front brakes complete rebuild.

And no we are not going to spend the summer in the Southern heat.

My plans got blown out of the water a month ago - I am supposed to be in California, after having seen dentists, doctors, and tax accountant.  Then visiting with friends before leaving the first of May to amble through Utah (no reservations) on my way to Escapade.  All appointments were canceled, and half the campgrounds canceled.

Which leaves me still boondocking in Quartzsite.  I’m leaving tomorrow for 2 weeks with a friend in Yuma who has a full-hookup site - the temps are quickly heading to the 90s which is too hot for no air conditioning.  I found a campground in the Arizona mountains for May and June, I’m not willing to commit to more than that at a campground I haven’t seen.  If I get up there and love it, perhaps they will still have a site for the rest of the summer.  But I keep hoping that by July I might be able to make my way up to Wyoming even though Escapade has been cancelled.  My head keeps telling me that’s wishful thinking and I should plan on staying in Arizona for the rest of the year.

I fall into the category of not feeling comfortable being around people right now or for the foreseeable future.  I tried to figure out a route to Wyoming that avoided commercial campgrounds but there were too many unknowns for my comfort level, which led me to make the reservation in the mountains.

I hadn’t heard the term “hitch-itch” before - love it!!!

Wyoming was a major part of our plans too, as we lived in Cheyenne for 18 years and were part of advance staff for Escapade and expected to be there for about 2 weeks. We have a grandson in Bozeman MT that we had planned to visit after Escapade as well as spending some time in Yellowstone Park, since we have not been there if more than 10 years. If things went well the plan was to head west from MT.

We should all know a lot more about how the future will go by the end of May. As some states begin to loosen restrictions, that should pretty quickly demonstrate if the COVID will flare again or if this is all going to flare up again. Since we are in that age group who are most at risk, I doubt that we will be able to do much traveling this year. So much depends on how much people continue to follow the guidelines.

Woodfield in Show Low. Reviews are a bit mixed, but some of that is lack of showers/toilets, which isn’t an issue for me. I liked the person I talked to on the phone, they were very upfront about no-refunds once you check in and payment in full up front. I’m willing to commit to 2 months, tempted to commit to the rest of the summer, just to have a place to go. But sure want to keep my options open for further possible travel.

Wisconsin is the only lower 48 state I’ve never been in. I’ve started to plan trips to go there the past 3 years, and still haven’t gotten there. Figured with Escapade in Rock Springs, I would use it for the start of the northern mid-west states, returning to Texas mid-September. I think I need to forget planning any trip that includes Wisconsin, and hope that maybe some day I’ll accidentally end up there!

I think you'll be happy there. The sites are large; all wooded and at various angles which makes it look nice.  Hope it works for you.

Awesome! Thanks SO MUCH for the info! That sure makes me feel better about the whole thing. Your description of the sites hit my priorities far more than any of the complaints in the reviews I read.

Well, we were supposed to be long gone from here by now, but things changed. We've been saying that when we start planning God starts laughing.

We actually only have one thing that HAS to happen this summer: getting our drivers' licenses renewed in SD. Worst case, we could leave the MH here at The Ranch and take the car up to SD, get the licenses, then return. That would be four days on the road, but doable.

Assuming that we could actually do the other thing on the plan, a wedding in NW IA, we're looking at possible routes. Beyond that, we'll see what happens.

Are you aware that SD will provide a 6-month extension on driver license renewals? I think all you have to do is ask for it.

We talked to some people that were headed there(close to Madison) and said campgrounds are open, said Wisconsin made campgrounds essential. Haven’t checked on that but they were full timers with kids and headed there.

I believe that all State Parks I'm WI are closed. As to private parks, many areas are open but some are closed. Manatoic  (not sure if I spelled that correct?) county private camp grounds are closed. It is being left up to each county to decide.

We were  not planning anything but local stuff anyhow since my  knees need worked on. The Montana needs work as we use it nearly full time and my bad knees prevent much routine maint. We will take a year off Rv travel.

I mentioned before that our original plans hinged around Yellowstone. Well now I hear a few things will not be open in Yellowstone, things that we don't really care about like the hotels and such so MAYBE this would actually be a good year to go. Maybe less people.

Our 2020 plans have been turned upside down... but that is better than dealing with COVID-19.   We are both medically at 'High Risk'... and just decided to stay where we can maximize our health safety.   We chose to not workamp this summer in the Black Hills and instead stay on our permanent lot in Wellton (5,000+ sq ft).   We've received some great advice on how to deal with the heat... and also just decided to have a large RV Carport installed to park under.   If it gets to be too hot, we will close things up and head for family in Texas... and air conditioned facilities!   In the Fall, depending on the virus, we may change our usual plans of normally going to Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan and instead stay here in Wellton.   Again, health safety is our primary concern.   I should mention we have a house in Michigan... but our Daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren live in it (we have an apartment in the basement)... so due to virus infection possibilities... its currently a no-go.  Bummer.   Lets all hope & Pray that this thing resolves soon!
