storage door seals

Recommended Posts

On my Teton during this flooding sisuation, the inside got wet in the storage area. Now the rain was terentual and raining sideways. I have a bucket in there that we use for washing camper, cars, etc with. It had several inches of water in it. Flood waters never got up to the doors. So the seals are not holding much at all. Amy of you ever replaced them?

I did replace one on our Cruise Master but I got the replacement from a dealer. You will probably have to make your own but it should be possible. Are you dry and in good shape now?

I got the inside storage dried out. Removed everything and powerful fans. Going to open bottom of same area today. It got wet too. What do we seal that back with?

I think that I would use a butyl caulking as it should work and is more repairable than any silicone product.

So you think eternabond would work.

I cut about a 2 foot area of bottom. Water holding in there. Drained. I propered it open and put a high velosity fan blowing in it. This fan will sweep a floor its so strong. It is a strafoam bottom with fiberglass insulation.
