A year ago my GF misplaced one of my HD receivers. 6 months ago, thinking it was gone, I deactivated it. I shouldn't have done that. I got it back, so I began what I thought would be the easy task of getting it reactivated. First, the My Equipment page on the old Directv website is gone. You get redirected to ATT, which is difficult to find anything. I finally found the equipment page, but it only shows my currently active receiver. Nothing else. I'll skip a whole lot of grueling details about trying to get this receiver reactivated, but suffice it to say I have not been able to do this online, and, a nice lady on the phone (the 6th person I had to deal with) won't reactivate it because I have a separate billing address and service address. She claimed I had to have 2 separate accounts. My account was just fine until I deactivated that receiver. I just want it back on the account and active. That seems to be impossible. Lol.. it's been a nightmare. First she talks me into giving it to her so she can use it at her place. Then she doesn't use it. Then when I want it back she can't find it. Then she thinks I'll just forget about it so doesn't make an effort to find it. Then I deactivate it. Then she finds it, ships it to me, and now DTV won't activate it. They will likely connect you with a retention specialist who will really help you.
