We're looking for your recommendations for campgrounds to stay at, neats towns to check out, sightseeing and cool activities such as white water rafting. Dutch_12078 Posted May 10, 2019 Report Share Posted May 10, 2019 (edited) Our favorite campground in the St Lawrence region is Robert Moses State Park near Massena, NY. The Eisenhower Lock is at the park entrance with a free three story viewing deck for watching the up to 740 ft long ships lock through. The park has a very nice visitors center with a large aquarium and many other wildlife displays. The NY Power Authority also has an excellent visitors center nearby at the international power dam that's shared with Canada. Our favorite campsite at the park is one of several that have good views of the ships passing in and out of the lock.
