Robert Walker
DRV 40 KSSB roof issues. Does anyone know if this has been resolved on the 19 DRV"s? Or is it still on going. My wife and I are considering this but with all the blogs about the leaking slides, we are not so sure.
Chad Heiser
What roof issues are you speaking of. I have a 2017 40KSSB4 and have had no issues at all with my roof. I also have had no issues with my slides (so far) and am hopeful that that continues, but I know of others that have had issues. 2000 Kenworth T2000 w/ Cummins N14 and autoshift 2017 DRV Mobile Suite 40KSSB4 with factory mods, dealer mods and personal mods - now in the RV graveyard 2022 DRV Full House MX450 with customized floor plan 2018 Polaris RZR Turbo S (fits in the garage) 2016 Smart Car (fits in the garage or gets flat towed behind the DRV when the RZR is in the garage)My First Solar Install ThreadMy Second Solar Install Thread & Photos and Documents Related to the buildMy MX450's solar, battery and inverter system - my biggest system yet! chadheiser.com West Coast HDT Rally Website
Fhkw9DPJ8V1g
We have a 2019 38RSSA and we've had no issues at all. Really enjoying our new rig. We also experienced a hail storm shortly after delivery with fist sized hail and had no issues except for two fan lids cracking. You should see the car though. jblo
The leaking slides issue is not with the roof of the trailer or slides--on many of the newer ones, the slide floors are not sealed well and water runs down outside of slide and go behind the bottom flange where it is screwed to the floor. If you don't inspect the sides and ends of the slides, water may get to the open grain of the floor and rot the wood. Depending on delivering dealer and how well he does the PDI, you may or may not be affected by this. DRVs aren't the only ones that have this problem, just check some other owners forums. Couple of dealers are mentioned often about being the best ones to take delivery thru.
