We have friends that want us to visit them for a month in Austin in May, are we crazy to consider t? Tornado season, Hail, heat, humidity, all of them? There is a campground a few miles outside of town we would say at.

It is possible but highly unlikely. There is no season that bad weather never happens but there is also no state that has never experienced a tornado. April and May are my favorite months in TX. Do you really think that your friends would put your life or RV in danger?

Over a million people spend the month of May in the Austin area!  Every year. And virtually all of them survive just fine.

It can be hot and humid or it can be very nice, depending on if summer has taken hold.  Early May is certainly better than late, but generally it is a nice time of year in a pretty part of the world.
