Keystone Montana High Country 5ths

Recommended Posts

We are starting to earnestly look at larger campers now, in particular the Montana High Country 384, anyone have any experience with it?
Also since it is a longer camper, we went from 21' to 28' ( that seemed giant in comparison), but for living space and after a weekend of rain camping one weekend we decided on definitely needing more space, and walking space for the pups.
I know we're out for alot of State and National parks with something this size, but willing to compromise and camp nearby.

Thanks everyone!

An RV of 28' is not that large by today's standards. Many of them now reach 40' and more. We lived in a 36' motorhome and were only rarely prevented from staying in state or national parks. At 28' you will have very little problem finding sites in public parks.

EDITOnce you go up to 40' or more it will be somewhat limiting but if you call ahead and always plan to arrive early it should be workable. You may sometimes need to change places to stay, but if you need to be comfortable first. All of life is a trade-off so perhaps you can find a workable rig in between 28' and 40'? Also, do not ignore the fact that if you go up to 40' or more you will need more truck to tow it as well.

The Montana 384 in question is listed at over 40'.
