My furance quit. Ok, fan runs but no heat. Checked the snair switch, good. Furance fans comes on, snair switch makes circuit, igniter clicks, smell of propane, no flame. Cycles until shut down. Is igniter bad or control board?

I would suggest to install a wire on the igniter wire and then the other end about an 1/8" from a ground. Turn on furnace with the switch on the outside. Furnace must be turned on for heat inside first.

This will tell if board is good. The board is sendinding power to the gas valve.

If it has spark then pull igniter after shutting off the gas. There may be a bug in the oriface also.

just a thought,.  Vern
