Grassy
Folks, We will be running through Maine in November.. I have heard some people pull their 5th with the propane furnace on... Is it legal to do so and what are the downsides or problems ? Thanks . Arctic Fox 29-5T . Beagle co-pilots - Faffy and Lulu
mptjelgin
We have used the furnace in our fifth-wheel for about six hours one day when running in 20 degree weather. It worked fine and as far as I know there are no (il)legalities associated with running the furnace (or any other propane appliance) while underway. There are specific requirements to shut propane off when traveling through specific tunnels, but beyond that I think you'll be fine. SWharton
You will need to remember to turn it off when you fill up your truck and you will burn a lot of propane.

Consolenut
I always have the furnace set at 60 if I know it will be cold where I'm going. Both furnaces armed and ready. And no I don't use a lot of propane. A bottle in 24 hour a day below freezing temps last a week. No electric heat ever. 2 furnaces is plenty of heat.
