mr. cob Posted September 6, 2018 Report Share Posted September 6, 2018 Howdy All, Well unforeseen circumstances have forced me to make a major change in my travel plans. I am now a few miles from Britton South Dakota visiting with Gene and Kat, who bought my Freightliner, some wonderful folks to be sure. My plan was to leave from here tomorrow morning and head north to spend a week with my brother who lives a few miles south of Bemidji Minnesota however he called and said because of the weather he won’t have time to visit as he has to get the hay crop in before it starts raining again. So I called my lifelong friend Gary who lives in the twin cities area of Minnesota and asked if I could visit with him a week earlier then planned but he has family from Australia there for the next week so it would not be a good time to stop by. So I have two weeks worth of time to go to other places or visit with people, so if anybody in the midwest has room for me to park my rolling zip code and would like to meet me and Newt my service dog post to this thread or contact me by private message. The Golden Spike Tower looks over the Union Pacific Bailey freight classification yard while Minden is a Huge Museum of early Nebraska. Howdy jenandjon, If I had known sooner I could have stopped by, when I left from Gene and Kat's home in North Dakota, I headed for Arkansas where I am now, I'll be here for a few more days at a bike rally then heading to the southeast corner of Kansas for another bike rally. I won't be going north anymore on the trip, after the National HDT Rally I'll be working my way back home to Washington, via the southwestern States.
