adept99 Posted August 17, 2018 Report Share Posted August 17, 2018 FYI - We had the opportunity to verify the cost of replacing an A/C fan and motor on our 2013 Smart. When the fan was turned on, sounded like the front end was eating a tree. Took a look under the "bonnet" and just said "Nope". Took it down to my local friendly favorite mechanic who doesn't work for that German outfit. Got it back 3 days later for the delightfully inexpensive price of $735, inclusive of parts, labor, and Governor Bevin. Mechanic expressed dismay at the cost of parts and other things that just left him mumbling to himself.
