One of the lessons we are learning pre-retirement is that we like our home base in MN and don't want to relocate or go FT.

Good to learn that up front. Summers here are great but it's sure nice to run away from winter. I hope you get to do all that.

Got a taste of the freedom many who go full time talk about in terms of getting ridding of unwanted and underused possessions, streamlining affairs etc. It is absolutely wonderful!

Thanks for the update! All too often the things that we own, control us.

We studied, planned, saved and nothing has turned out per our plan - it's all better (sorta). Quit our jobs at 47 and 51, lived off sell of house. Market dump and "lost" half our savings. Went into selling ads for campgrounds - great job. Did that part time for several years. full timed for 13. At 69, David diagnosised with pancreatic cancer, its a miracle he is still alive but fulltime no more. Unplanned inherited parents house, its now our medical base. There's a lot more to this story. Plan what you can but roll with the punches. I'm grateful we had the 13 years full timing and exploring, a wonderful experience. What if we'd waited til 62 or 65...
