New Orleans Visit

FL-JOE

Recommended Posts

Yesterday we spent the day in the French Quarter.  We had planned a one day visit which was part of the reason we camped in Robertsdale AL for a month.  We drove our car into the city and used our Premium Park app, which makes parking quick and easy IMHO.  Beside sampling some local foods and light shopping, we did a steamboat cruise on the Natchez.  Turned out to be a really great visit with good weather and no crowds.

Today we will go observe the Blue Angels practice and see their museum, also within an easy drive from this CG.  Already experienced numerous beaches, ferry trip on Harley to Ft. Morgan, and touring the USS Alabama.  Tons of interesting stuff in this part of the gulf coast.

That is an interesting stretch for sure Pat.  We have already made plans to return to that general area for each November and each April.   That area will be our long stop over point prior to landing in Florida for the winter months, and then our stop over point when leaving Florida in the early spring.

Between using Azalea Acres RV Park (Robertsdale AL) and Topsail Hill State Preserve (Santa Rosa Beach FL) for the spring and fall visits we can average around $15.00 a night in CG fees for a 2 month period.
