keepitlow
I've used couple year old stabil gas. But what I do with old gas is to dump half a gallon in my vehicle with a full tank and burn it that way.
richfaa
We run our portable generator at least 20/30 mins every month as preventive maintenance so the fuel is constantly being refreshed. Nowadays, I can go a full month or more on a tank. Not so when I was young, I stayed on the road. ☺️ Everybody wanna hear the truth, but everybody tell a lie. sheldons65
The biggest problem with fuel storage right now is ethanol. If you are going have to let a small engine go unused for like 2 years then you are better off with a canned product like Trufuel. It's a good practice I believe to let your generator cycle through a tank at least once every six months to a year.

The point is; If octane degrades 10 percent over 18 months, which octane grade would you want in the tank? ~Rich
keepitlow
OP...yes. 2+ year old gas. But it has stabilin it. I just throw in a half a gallon or so when tank is 75% full. 2 stroke, whatever. Although 2 stroke is usually less than half a gallon.
