DJW
So my sister in Omaha was going to move some pictures off her daughters 21-23 IMac before she heads off to the University of Utah for her Masters this summer. The sister had bought each of the kids 2 TB Toshiba external hard drives to keep pictures and music on and make room on there Imac's. She had moved pictures back in 2015 I think she said on the her daughters computer with no problems. When she tried to drag and drop more pictures on Saturday she got the message that the external was read only? Is there some kind of setting that would have made the external hard drive read only? Any thoughts? Dennis USA Master Sergeant Ret.

DJW
Bill Thanks I passed the link along to my sister. One question: what if you already have files on that external Hard Drive that you do not want to lose? Dennis USA Master Sergeant Ret.
