We are evaluating domicile in SD and are obtianing Motor Home insurance quotes that  are sooo high they negate the benefit of change. One agent stated that she believed all us current & future full timers where registering in the same Zip, causing high rates.  Any one else experiencing this?

When I went full time in 2014  I chose SD as my domicile. I saved thousands of dollars leaving Calif on r gistratin and insurance costs. Don’t know where you are registered now but can’t believe it would be cheaper than SD.

Compare Texas, Florida and South Dakota.  Also, it depends if you're going to Box Elder or Sioux Falls.  Sioux Falls is cheaper for us.  Livingston Tx- Escapee's was a close 2nd but SD had better insurance at the time we moved.

We also saved a lot on insurance cost changing from MI to SD.   We were also changing to a full-timers policy which offer different/additional coverages that your standard policy does not have.  Is some of your cost increase because of that?
