RIP Connect Car Plan?

From the article:

"This does not impact AT&T Homebase Rural plans or Connected Car plans. It seems only the current Unlimited Plus and Choice plans are being replaced with the new 'Enhanced' plans."

AT&T offered a two year contract with the Mobley purchase.  I don't think they'll make any changes for existing users until then.

Nice!   That is an incredible plan for Data!   Truly unlimited, not like the Verizon HS i purchase thru fmca.  I never saw something go so slow after you hit the 25 GB threshold as that Vzb hotspot.  It was like the old dialup days back in the early 90's cept back then we went to text based bulletin boards, pulling down the graphics for single page website over something that slow would be excruciating.     -Bill

We've seen our AT&T data speeds drop to around 5-6Mbps for a short time on a busy tower during peak hours on occasion, but that's still magnitudes faster than VZW's ~600kbps hard throttle speed.

This is why I bought mineout right.  After 2 years I would think that ATT will have the option/right to not carry that plan for all of the contracted Mobley people.  As the two years contract is up.

I also love having the "unlimited" car connect plan on the Mobley.  A side effect of the Mobley popularity is that most now know AT&T works fine for fulltimers, they are not limited to Verizon.

If you want unlimited high speed hotspotting, you have one day to get an AT&T plan that includes a mobile hotspot. March 1st such plans will not exist for new customers.
