I found this one for $54.00 and thought it would be cheap insurance if I was out somewhere with no cell service. I got it and tried it on one of the lugs nuts on the rear of my truck and it works fine. My thinking is if I have a bad tire I can single it out and put the off tire in my toy hauler and be on my way. I did buy the more expensive tool as some of the reviews were not good on the cheaper unit. I was afraid of getting all but one lug nut lose and having the cheaper tool fail. I have been thinking of buying one as well. Even considered buying a set of irons to change a tire if needed. It seems that a "cheetah" tank would be a good idea as well. This tool should be enough to get me to a repair shop where I usually travel. Now that I bought it, I will probably never have to use it, but I need more weight on my truck so it helps. I think I seen at least 3 tags that stated that it was. Used once and it works ok but will definitely give your arm a workout with the number of turns you have to make. It did bust the nut loose though. Cheap insurance. I looks somewhat the same, except the one I got only came with 4 sockets. Those were enough for me, the 33mm for my lug notes and a 1"1/2" and a square for Bud lug nuts. Edit, I see the one you posted comes with a 1' to 3/4" adaptor. That would come in handy. Loosen the nut with this then buzz them off with a impact. The Zeny says 3540 ft/lb but I'm not at all familiar with either brand and reviews on the Zeny are very limited. How about an adapter to run it off a smaller impact. A 400ftlb removal torque would spin it once it's broke loose. JPL Posted December 27, 2017 Report Share Posted December 27, 2017 I don't carry a toque multiplier but I do carry a 3/4 " breaker bar with a pipe that will break a lug loose. I also carry a 600 ft lb torque wrench. If I call a service truck or do it myself I'll be sure it's torqued right. I got the torque wrench at Cash converters. I also have a 600 ft/ lb wrench that wife pointed out to me several years ago on an Amazon “lightning” deal. Wanna say it was couple of hundred bucks and is KD Tools or something like that. I know it won’t be as accurate as a Snap On or high dollar wrench but it works fine. If my memory is correct Rickeieio knows the owner of KD. I use it couple of times a year to check truck torque especially when I break out of winter storage or if tire has been off. I can give personal witness to fact another forum member was having his wheels polished and two lug nuts could be unscrewed with fingers before anything was done. I had a 6' pipe on a 1" breaker bar and couldn't break the nuts loose on my Mack, with my considerable bulk bouncing on the end. It took careful application of heat to remove them. Yes, one of my riding friends, was the "D" in K-D tools. He's since sold out, retired, and started another business.
