Mastercraft
I went to look at the Forks RV web site the other day and I got the Google 404 message Looks like they went the way of Teton, Travel Supreme, Alpha and all the other non custom "high end" RV manufacturers. Any scoop on what happened or if they will spring back up under new management? 2009 Volvo 780 D16 535hp 1850 ft-lbs I shift 3.36 Thermo King Tripac APU DIY Bed and Frame Extension ET Hitch, Stellar EC2000, EcoGen 6K 2002 F350 CC Dually w/ Lance 1181 2012 Mini Cooper S 2007 Teton Royal Freedom " The only place you will find success before work is the dictionary "

Big Greg
Wednesday’s Auction Signals Forks RV Demise Print March 30, 2017 by Sherman Goldenberg Leave a Comment A busy Wednesday (March 29) auction of tooling and varied factory equipment apparently represented the final chapter in the story of Forks RV Inc., a small family-held firm located on U.S. 20 west of Shipshewana, Ind., in the heart of Hoosier Amish country, that started out manufacturing commercial buildings and police command centers in 1991. The company subsequently established a strong reputation with its upscale Continental Coach brand of “custom-made, premium luxury ” fifth-wheels and travel trailers that ultimately made a national mark, allying with Teton owners after the demise of high-line towable maker Teton Homes Corp. and garnering national TV coverage on the Travel Channel’s “Extreme RV’s” show. Forks RV had ceased manufacturing at the first of the year, according to Eric Stutzman, former director of operations for Forks RV whose father, Howard Stutzman, started the company in 1991. And while the Continental Coach brand name is also being sold off — though not at this week’s auction — Stutzman said it wasn’t the firm’s RV sales that precipitated its closure as much as the international fluctuations of the oil industry into which it sold mobile office trailers. “We did a lot in the oil industry,” said Stutzman, noting that Forks RV’s employment pretty much peaked in 2013 and 2014 at about 50 to 60 people. “And then at the end of ’14 the oil market dropped and it just shut things down pretty quickly for us and that was kind of the pivot point for us.” Greg & Judy Bahnmiller Class of 2007 2014 F350 2007 HitchHiker Champagne Both sold 2/19, settled in Foley, AL after 12 years on the road http://bahnmilleradventure.blogspot.com/

GlennWest
It is sad. We assumed if we needed help with our Teton, Forks was there to help. That's over now. Not many can afford a 250k unit. Before long, only choice we will have may be mass produced. 2003 Teton Grand Freedom towed with 2006 Freightliner Century 120 across the beautiful USA welding pipe.https://photos.app.goo.gl/O32ZjgzSzgK7LAyt1

grumpydoc
With our Teton the biggest problems were damage to the wooden structure from undetected water leaks. Fixing our rig was not something a mobile RV repair service could handle on site. We did have Texas Custom Coach in Pipe Creek TX work on our Teton a couple of times. They found our water leaks and stopped them and did repairs. We were very satisfied with their service. If our Continental Coach needs in shop work we would go back to Texas Custom Coach. We were very disappointed that Forks and the Stutzman family ceased operations, they were a top notch and honorable business, Best Wishes, Jay 2015 Continental Coach Elegance by Forks RV, 41'; 2015 FL M2 112, DD 13, by 2L Custom Trucks; Trailer Saver air hitch; '48 Navigoddess with a Rand McNally GPS
