Solar and possibly lithium in temp dwelling

My next big project will be a small building on my property. It will be a very modest dwelling. Metal insulated building with plumbing. I will finish somewhat. Great fishing there. My daughter and grandchildren will use it more than us. Lol.  Considering solar only and maybe batteries if needed. It will have a septic system but an arobic type. Need power for pumps. Required there, no traditional sewer system. Any susgestions

Glenn you will need batteries but here I don't know if I would go with Lithium due to cost. I think battery weight and size reduction justifies the cost with rv usage but for a stationary location I would just get some big lead acids. Of course if you think the batteries  may end up in your fifth wheel  then lithium makes sense. In that case I recommend you buy cells and make your own pack. Plenty of expertise here to help you along.  If you havent already look over Jack Maye'rs RV discussion http://www.jackdanmayer.com/rv_electrical_and_solar.htm.  I would also look at Solar Bob's materials as he uses solar in a similar application. I think the link is in Jack's materials. You should start with your pumps (lights? refrdige? tv?) anticipated amp draw and then plan backwards from there. In new construction you have a blank canvas so you can do it right. Also be sure not to cheat yourself by undersizing wires. Another common error.
