RV_
As gunfire rained down in Las Vegas on Sunday night, a country music festival turned into what first responders have described as a “war zone” with over 50 dead. U.S veterans sprang into action to protect those around them and helped others find cover, evacuated the injured, treated the wounded and did what they do best – put themselves in harm’s way for the good of others. Here are a few of their stories. https://undertheradar.military.com/2017/10/hero-veterans-las-vegas-war-zone/?ESRC=airforce-a_171004.nl RV/Derekhttp://www.rvroadie.com Email on the bottom of my website page.Retired AF 1971-1998 When you see a worthy man, endeavor to emulate him. Ray,IN
That was perhaps the worst scenario imaginable! Receiving automatic fire from an unknown position with no cover for thousands of civilians is horrific. That's when repetitive training counts most, and those brave folks were up to the job. I have the greatest respect for them! 2000 Winnebago Ultimate Freedom USQ40JD, ISC 8.3 Cummins 350, Spartan MM Chassis. USA IN 1SG retired;Good Sam Life member,FMCA ." eddie1261
And to look at the angles involved, half the people could not see past the cover of the stage to see the angles the shots COULD be coming from. Add in the sound echoing and it must have sounded like there were gunman in every direction. Geeze just at the gun range it can be hard and everybody is facing the same way! RV_
Yeah Ray, a true killing zone set up for a slaughter. My hats off to the guys that went into the kill zone to pull out the wounded. Eddie, yes it was devastating.
