Itsa Mr.E
Want to take a shake down run but cant seem to find info or place to weigh my 22' Winnebago. Planning to go on the road to escape the snow this winter here in new England and want to feel confident that all systems are operational. No SmartWeigh opportunities up here in Massachusetts. How can I be fairly sure the RV is well balanced?
jpcoll01
should be able to go to a truck stop and get loaded axle weight and probably tongue weight. My guess is there is a place to find truck stops with scales, but I don't have that info. Edit: Actually a quick google search brought this up : https://catscale.com/cat-scale-locator/
sandsys
Cat scales won't give you left/right weights but just doing front and back is a huge help. If your RV wants to lean/pull to one side but your shocks and tire alignments are good, try shifting some weight to the other side. RV designs tend to assume two adults in the front; when I was traveling solo, I kept my tool kit and a box of canned goods in the passenger area. If you use bottled water, that's a good place to store it, too. Itsa Mr.E
thanks all. Guess I'll take it out and see how it handles on the way to the closest truck stop. 'Will hope to be in the vicinity of the next escapade to get a more accurate weigh. (thank for the link)
