swtamiet
We bought a tiny home with two RV hook up sites on a quarter acre. We aren't ready to quit our jobs and use it as a base yet. Although we really (I mean really!) want to. Now we are thinking to rent one of the spots to someone responsible who will be there longer term. Does anyone have experience renting a site from a private person (noncommercial)? Anything we should know? (We know nothing). Ok, that is a lie. We know a little about renting. But not an RV spot. Where do people find sites to rent? What's the scoop?
bobsallyh
Try going to Craig's list for Yuma, AZ. Under the "Vacation Rentals" heading will be RV lots in the Yuma Foothills for rent. There are some listed now with pictures and info on the lots. About the end of September things will get busy under that heading as snowbirds start looking for a lot. Maybe that will help you get started. We have an RV lot ourselves with two FHU hook-ups. We haven't made our mind up whether to rent or not. Both have separate power meters. We are in the midst of getting two sheds sorted out and several other things on the lot and then we will probably decide which way we will go. I suggest that you start with an ad in the RV Marketplace section of these forums. Some of the answer depends on where your site for rent is located. Randyretired
We have a couple of vacant land sites that have hookups. Our home insurance covers these for liability. We had a request to rent one of these when we weren't there. However the insurance agent said we needed a different insurance policy that was quite expensive.
