lockmup68
One of the main complaints I had about the truck since purchase has been the dismal headlights. Old school 5x7 halogens. Tried new ones, and same dismal lights. Unlike the new projector light upgrade options, not many options for the old 5x7s. Dave Dixon turned me on to the JWSpeaker LEDs and I finally pulled the trigger and got them installed. I felt like George Clooney in O'Brother Where Art Thou, "I see the light!" I also took the opportunity to replace the flaking chrome rings around the headlights at the same time. Took a little massaging with some sand paper to get the chrome mounting rings and the chrome trim pieces to fit the LED housings, but this was a pretty straightforward upgrade. I also changed out the turn signal/marker bulbs that are supposed to be amber, but all the amber coating of the bulb had flaked off. Old vs. New: New on: JWSpeaker box: Low beam: High beam: Overall, very happy with the upgrade and happy I can finally see.
