4way valves

Hi everyone,   My 4way anderson valve leaks water into my tank when it is on city, tank then overflows. Does anyone know if I can go back to the old system valve, where city water goes directly to coach, and tank has a separate fill hole.

If you call Anderson, they have a simple repair kit to replace the seal inside the valve.  It has been discussed several times recently on a DRV forum in which I participate.  The repair kit is relatively inexpensive and may be free depending how old your valve is and it is a relatively easy replacement.

It could be done but just what it will take depends on where your freshwater tank is located and what sort of access you have to the outside wall near it. If I were going to make such a change, I'd just remove the combination valve and install two valves, one to the water system and a second one to fill the water tank. Most of the early RVs with the tank fill did have a separate valve for that purpose. Doing that would probably be less work than what you have in mind.
