Then, after the Escapade, we invite you to join us for the fabulous New York City and the Hudson River Valley HOP, July 8-13, 2018. Grab your favorite, most colorful hat and let’s go to the derby! There is nothing like experiencing this one-of-a-kind event firsthand. Known as “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports” this spectacular event draws the finest three-year-old thoroughbreds. Visit the paddock; listen while the jockeys get last-minute instructions, watch the race officials conduct a final check of the horses and riders, and watch the jockeys mount their horses and head to the gates on the track. Don’t miss out! Be a part of horse racing history by singing along to “My Old Kentucky Home”, as the horses leave the paddock. Escapees has procured tickets for quick, convenient access to the betting windows and food vendors. Relax in one of the famous lounges at the track. See the famous pinnacles; listen as the trumpet sounds the call to post. Hear the clink of the traditional Mint Julep glasses and enjoy the races! Rain or shine.
