mkvacik
HAHA, all of these replies is why I just don't feel comfortable buying panels direct. How do I do in Vegas... Never been, and dropped maybe $10 in a Casino in my life and it wasn't a huge entertainment value, same as DOA panels wouldn't have much entertainment value to them. I still don't know where the best deal is yet, but for me, probably not direct.
bigbillsd
JFYI. I purchased my Magnum Inverter from ImarineUSA Magnum Inverters They were the best price last year, with the free shipping and their prices look like they are less now. BadDogBear
I jumped into the inverter/solar dream before knowing enough but, I am understanding more each day! I thought it would be easier than it is. Anyway, My rig had no inverter and the converter is integrated into the distribution panel. I bought a 3000w hybrid Magnum and the remote, AGS, BMK w/shunt and 4x AGM 12v /100Ah batteries, bussbars, fuses, cables, battery switch, etc.etc.... Thought I could build this thing to run everything except A/C but with the auto gen start, I figured it would do its thing if my wife hit the cool button without knowing the difference! so I’m staged to go but, frantic I’m in over my head? How do you advise I search out specific guidance from here? TIA

Leroi
Just a note for the wary: the Victron MultiPlus 3000 is a 2400 Watt inverter. (It is 3000 VA.)

The watt rating will depend on the power factor of the load. The only constant will be the VA rating. If all you have are purely resistive loads, a 3000VA inverter will produce 3000 watts. A motor load with a power factor of .8 will give you a watt rating of 2400 watts. A .9 power factor will give you 2800 watts. Most companies use a power factor of .8 as an estimate but that power factor can range from .75 to .9 in most cases depending on the load.
