Southwest Missouri

Recommended Posts

We been stumbling around in Southwest Missouri for a week and now we are on our way. Hung up in Omaha Arkansas waiting for the sun to come out. We are headed through the hills in central Arkansas and want to have the sun shinning for the colors and scenery. Read More:

We are starting down HWY 7 through the Boston Mts and on to HWY 27 through the Ouachita Mts tomorrow. I will comment on my blow in a day or two, and hoping for some pictures.....

South on Arkansas HWY 7

Colors are pretty plain! Some trees are bare but no reds or yellows like we have seen in Missouri. Crossed the Boston Mountains on Arkansas HWY7. Read More:

First frost is reported for Harrison, Ark in the morning. Maybe that will trigger the colors?

Out of Russellville, Ark and crossed the Arkansas River to HWY 27 South. Well we made it as far as Glenwood and got lost? Found our way to Hope and had a wonderful morning driving Ark HWY 27 over the Ouachita Mountains. Leaves where disappointing in our view. Check out the pictures:

We have been in Missouri this week and would agree with the disappointing colors. Locals have been saying that it hasn't been a normal fall. Too nice. Yea for us. Trees are loosing their leaves with very little color changes. Still a joy to see the sights and enjoy the warmer fall temps.

It's been the same in Kansas! I agree that it's still nice to see the sights!
