You don't need to buy the top of the line expensive helmet though, if you hit your head that hard it won't matter what kind of helmet you have on, that's why they are sometimes called brain buckets. Greg When Dave's brother had his motorcycle accident he wanted the cop to remove his helmet but the cop wouldn't do it. Tim finally lifted his head and flipped the helmet off. Then the cop told him they aren't allowed to remove them because sometimes the helmet is the only thing protecting a broken neck.
