Watch Hyperloop One's first propulsion test sled hit 100mph in Nevada desert

Hyperloop, under one of Tesla's ex engineers who left Telsa to do the Hyperloop, just made its first test of the magnetic propulsion system. This article has two videos for those who have the bandwidth.

 

The first video is real world video of the actual test out in the desert. The second is an animation that shows exactly how the propulsion system works. This is new stuff. The videos don't auto play so those limited in bandwidth can read it here too:

Good question Jim, but since I believe the first will be a San Francisco to LA run that will have to be addressed. I don't know if my newly acquired from MRIs claustrophobia would kick in. Also if there was a power outage or break, will there be walkways or exits that can be accessed to get out. It doesn't look like it. So we will have to wait and see.
