Yarome
Funny this should come up. Number 2 son has type 1. He was just mentioning he had quite a bit of excess Lantus and recently learned it could be used for dogs and cats. Does something like that need to be refrigerated during shipping? Is it legal to mail something like that through USPS? I guess there might be some legality involved since it's a prescription medication? I DO know it's ripping expensive stuff to have go to waste. remoandiris
Yes, it should be shipped cold, with cold packs, and in an insulated package, as well as shipped overnight. Not sure of legal stuff. Yes, it is a prescription, but it is not a narcotic. Yes, it is expensive. With no insurance, a vial costs me ~ $300. At least it lasts about 4 months for me. That is as long as I don't drop/break the vial. Have done that twice. I figure I wasted ~ $500. Yes, I was friggin mad at myself.
SWharton
We by ours from a Canadian Pharmacy for $100 a vial(more vials are less), shipping is $25. Get it in about 5 days once they fill the initial prescription.
