2008 Newmar Kountry Star 3961

Recommended Posts

Anyone have information regarding full time living in a 2008 Newmar Kountry Star 3961 with a 400 HP Cummins?

We are considering "downsizing" from a 2007 Beaver 44' Patriot Thunder with a 525 HP Caterpillar.

Our thinking is this.... the nearly 45' coach is becoming just a bit more than we really need ..... It is a phenomenal, luxury motor

home, but, not only do we have a buyer waiting for us to make up our minds, we also have located a low mileage 2008 Newmar Kountry

Star that my wife just fell "in love" the floorplan etc.

Just looking for any input regarding the Newmar..... don't know anyone who owns one to talk to, so figured someone on the forum

probably can provide us with some good insight.....

Appreciate the comments, suggestions, etc.

There are only two kinds of people in the world.....Those who think they can, and those who think they cannot. They are both right!

We have an '05 Newmar fiver and the quality of the build is phenomenal. We have been living in it 6-7 months a year for the past 7 years and it still looks like new inside - decals, etc. are starting to fade on the outside after 7 winters in AZ. We have towed from Chicago to Tucson to Tampa to upstate NY and Canada, close to 90k since we brought it in 2007 and it has performed well. Did have to replace springs at one point.

Obviously not the same as a MH, but the build quality should be very similar. They dropped fivers to concentrate on MHs around 2008. They also have fantastic owner support and service, even if you buy it used as ours was.
