NJTroy
It will take a bit, but the drop in the oil barrel price will filter into the market soon. I am just happy to see the prices where they are. I remember years ago in Death Valley seeing gas at $2.49 a gallon and being so shocked and outraged at the price gouging that I passed it by. That was a decision I paid for. My calculated map distance to the next community was incorrect and I had to turn around and head back to have enough to get out of there lol. chirakawa
Refineries have to shut down periodically for maintenance and upgrades. It only makes sense that they would do so when the price of their product is down and their profit is decreased. It's called the free market place. Don't like it? Build your own refinery. Onthego
Too bad profits are down. They must be hurting something terrible so got to pass this on right away to the consumer. Darkhorse
I'm not complaining, I'm happy as all get out to see diesel at $2.19. Never thought I would see it at that again in my life time to be honest. Adjusted for inflation its a bargain compared to even 20-25 years ago. 2006 Peterbilt 387 -2013 Dutchmen Voltage 3950

Got oil company stock? http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/markets/2015/07/31/big-oil-profit-falls/30940917/ Jeff If you don't understand the idea of doing maintenance during a time of lower profits, I doubt I can explain it to you. It's the same with any other business. No, I don't have any oil company stock, or any other kind of stock. I'm just happy to live in a country where the economic system provides an incentive for companies to produce. I can go anywhere in this country and find affordable fuel, food, clothing, entertainment, etc. etc. in abundance. Don't complain about the price of food with your mouth full.
