I'd guess it is intended as an advertisement but it would be neat on the back of an RV too.

It might also be used to display static pictures or messages for the driver behind you, communicating either useful information or your opinion of their driving ability. :-)

First rule of computer consulting:

Sell a customer a Linux computer and you'll eat for a day.

Sell a customer a Windows computer and you'll eat for a lifetime.

It sort of shows the driver behind what clearance is ahead to know if there is room to pass or not. But, the vehicle ahead looked a lot further away on the display than it looked from the side lane. Kind of the way my backup camera distorted the image causing me to almost back into a rig parked behind me. I would not risk the liability of having one of these displays on my rig since the driver behind me would not likely know how to compensate for that distortion.
