TxCowboy
Anyone have a recommendation for a bag resealer? I have a Food Saver at home for sealing chips bags, cereal bags, etc. and really need one for the RV. I've seen this battery-operated resealer over at Amazon but it has mixed reviews. http://www.amazon.com/iTouchless-BR001U-Bag-Re-Sealer-2-Packs/dp/B000N5YBKC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1430485200&sr=8-2&keywords=bag+sealer Anybody have one they are happy with? Thanks! pfhays
Not sure what you are looking for. The Food Saver removes air and seals the bag. The item pointed to by your link only attempts to heat seal the original bag. I would think, crumbs, crumb dust, etc, would interfere with the linked item. I use the http://www.amazon.com/Ziploc-Vacuum-Starter-3-Quart-1-Pump/dp/B003UEMFUG . But, you can use a straw and regular ziplock bag. Or, go cheaper and use this idea http://makezine.com/2011/05/18/how-to-vacuum-seal-cheap-ziploc-bags/ with a straw inserted in the outer bag. Just suck like crazy. I have used both and they both work. Perhaps not as good as a commercial vacuum sealer but then I'm not storing things for 6 months or longer. pete 2000 40' Country Coach Magna
SWharton
Zip Loc(or Glad) have a hand operated vacuum sealer. You buy special bags and just pump the air out. It is located where baggies are located in the supermarket.
