2000 Avion Savanna 5th Wheel and 2006 Ford F350 Crew Cab Long Bed

Recommended Posts

Sold together for a discounted price or sold separately. Current location is Durango Colorado. We have settled in Durango and no longer need the 5th wheel or truck. Willing to trade for something smaller for weekend camping.

This diesel truck has been an awesome work and tow truck for us. We pulled a 37' fifth wheel in the mountains with no problems. (2000 Avion Savanna 5th wheel trailer is available in separate posting, discount if purchase both together) Bed has spray coating for protection. Exterior is in good condition with typical minor paint, coating on grill puckering, and very small dents typical for a vehicle of this age. Known issues are limited to stains on fabric seats, minor worn part on driver's seat, and missing plastic on passenger exterior mirror.

This vehicle has a towing package which allows you to not only pull a load more easily/safely but also allows you to control downhill speed without relying on your brakes. The side mirrors can be pulled out so that you can easily see when you are towing something.

Under warranty, we had the turbo replaced at 60,000 miles and replaced EGR cooler, oil cooler, and EGR valve at 116,461 miles.

In city mileage is about 15-18 mpg.

This vehicle has a full back seat and seats 6 adults comfortably. The back seats fold up out of the way to provide a flat area for tools or other storage. There are fold down area for cups/storage in both the front and rear seats. Full tool chest and ladder rack are negotiable. Price is $13,750.

Very comfortable Avion Savanna 5th wheel. This was a high end model (approximately $65,000 new) with lots of oak cabinets, built in convection oven/microwave, 2 desks, queen sized bed, lots of storage, and 3 slides. It has a peninsula kitchen counter with sink and two areas that pull up for additional counter space. Has a homey feel to it with the open living area and wood cabinets.

We lived in this full time for 7 years. It is priced as is, needs TLC: minor fiberglass work, exterior paint (prep is almost complete), flooring. The main AC was replaced 3 years ago and hasn't been used much since then. Commode replaced 2 years ago. Price is $9,995.

Work needed on the inside:
1. It is missing one sliding closet door
2. Replace the section of carpet on two slides
3. Replace parts on stove so it self-ignites (have the parts)
4. Replace some flooring in bath/bedroom (have flooring)
5. locate the switch for electric awning (upgraded from manual to electric)
6. other very minor items

We have converted the single landing gear control to a dual control however one leg still needs to be installed (have the part).

The unit has been sitting for some time so the batteries will likely need to be replaced.

We removed an ugly couch and replaced that with a desk that spans the rear of the unit. There is a 2 drawer file cabinet between the two work stations in the desk. I spent many hours working there and looking out the windows at scenery or wildlife.

There is also a built in desk that can be pulled out that has another two large drawers. We found it heavy to pull out so we did not use this feature.

The bedroom has a closet space with shelving across the width of the trailer. There is an additional wardrobe (see picture) for hanging clothes.

The refrigerator was repaired with a new coil system about 3 years ago. There is a power awning that was added about 3 years ago and used only once.

The heater was replaced about six years ago and had about 4 years usage. When we were in RV parks we usually used electric space heaters, so the overall use on the heater is low.

The water pump was replaced and the water heater was rebuilt.

The unit is plumbed to add a washer/dryer. We had one for a couple of years and then chose to use the space as storage.

We did replace a leaf spring and have a spare.

We will continue repairs until it is sold. Book value is about $14,000, so additional work affects the price.

Although Avion chose to refer to it as 35', it is actually 37 feet long.

Empty weight is about 12,300 and total weight with propane, fresh and waste water, and belongings is about 12,400.

Price includes hitch and cover.

More pictures available upon request. Prices negotiable if you purchase both the 5th wheel and truck.
