yzg
I have an acquaintance looking at 2 FL60s... both basically kitted out the same , etc.. One had 50K less on the engine..I think the high mileage one has 128K miles.. I understand that these engines are good for 500+ miles if cared for and many of us will never put this miles on the rig...there is a sig difference in price... What would you think 50K miles is worth ? Thanks, Ian
skp51443
Check the service schedule, I seem to recall a rather expensive service at around 120K, If the one truck has had it it would be worth more to me than the 50 that would need it in a year or two. Without the service issue I'd put very little, couple hundred bucks, maybe less on the mileage difference. SIBERNUT
Lots of stuff goes bad from sitting still, too. Tires still age, seals in the AC dry out, etc. If one came with a (reputable) warranty, that might be worth some $. 2000 Volvo 635 A/S, N-14 Cummins"The Phoenix"'03 KA 38KSWB http://s918.photobucket.com/user/sibernut/library/?sort=6&page=1Furkids- Sibe's CH.
