The Class-less Class

I drove on thru to Deming today. I don't usually drive that far but it was a nice day and didn't seem so far. I didn't dump my tanks before leaving Q and there is High winds forecast along I-10 for Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. I decided it would be better to come to Deming today and put up with the cold next week than to have my black tank force me to leave on one of those windy days. It's going to be hard to put up with all these full Hookups but someone has to do it. I'll ease into it by taking the longest hot shower on record this evening. I hope I don't clog up the drains around here.

Professer, I'd say that you've earned that shower...bet others are glad too!

Hey, we are in Lake Havasu and we will not be going south anymore. I was going to do you curtains the day you left. I had no idea you weren't coming back.

Sorry about that. When I asked about timing you said not today nor tomorrow. Then I had to drive to charge my batteries. Since you never said when I decided I had enough of the battery game and came here. I would have come back down for the day anytime you said when. Do you still want to do them? I hate to do the not tomorrow bit after having said all that but gusty winds tomorrow. But after the winds die down I'll drive up to Havasu if you'll do them. I need to go out for groceries anyway.

If you want to drive up here, I will do them. You will have to come right up here though because we will need the generator for the sewing machine. YOU say when and I will give the GPS co-ordinates.

Sometimes it's the simple things in life that make all the difference!

Lynn and I are still in the big city till Monday...looking at moving towards the Tucson area...any suggestions on where to stay?

You just got there, right? Are you staying the full two weeks? If so I think I'll hang here with the free electricity a bit longer to see if the weather warms up again. If you are not staying that long there, let me know and I will come sooner. I really would like to have these curtains finished but not badly enough to buy my own sewing machine and try to find a big enough table to use to do them. :)

BTW, this is the only means I have of contacting you right now. The email address I have doesn't work and the phone number gets me a "voicemail not set up" response.

I went out for LEO (Lets Eat Out) with the gang here tonight. I had a very good New York Strip. If this is civilization, It just might grow on me.

We will be here for the full two weeks. The phone is out of money and will be up tomorrow but texts only please. I am not sure what email address you are trying because we have had the same one for 6 years.

I will be happy to do your sewing but FYI they make these really cute manual handheld sewing machines that I think would work great for hemming.

Thanks Guys...the links look like decent posibilities! Saw from your map pin that you're at a casino...any luck on winning that new rig? ;)

Had lunch yesterday with Jeri & Terry. They took us on a tour of the Apache Junction area and had a great time!

Going to Texas eh? You two gonna stop by the Tucson/Benson region? Maybe we can revisit if so?!

Talk to you soon.

They are predicting high wind gusts again Monday. My time here is up Tuesday. So I might come Sunday if I actually do all my chores today.

My GPS didn't like your coordinates at La Posa. Can you give me directions instead this time? Julie taught me how to text so I can do that now. :)

Rockin' and Rollin' all day long. 35 to 40 MPH winds all day long and now it's turning cold. We even had a few flecks of sugar s--w this after noon. At the risk of coming out of my stir crazy mode. I went to Peppers store this afternoon and got all the items I couldn't find at Wal-Mart yesterday. I'm all cooped up again waiting for the deep freeze tonight so y'all are safe. I hope this is the last blast for old man winter in the Southwest.

The next rig to me is about a quarter mile away. I think that should be enough space for you to fit in. Being Crazy is not mandatory but it sure helps alot. They would lock most of us up but we would be a bad influence on the inmates. Sep me of course I'm the only sane one here. Hush Steve. Fire up that keyboard and jump right into the fray. It's only fair to warn you that anything you say may be taken out of text, switched around until un reconizable, embellished a bit then used against you. But don't worry your other friends won't even recognize that we are talking about you.

I think I may have found a place to stay. You do make breakfast mow and furnish the drinks? Well maybe other breakfast. Been on the road all of 4 days. So help with diesel would be nice. Thans for the invite.

A bit on the cool side today. I stayed inside most of the day. 54 high and 21 low. I broke up the monotony by going out for dinner at the Ranchers grill. I had Vaquero. That means Cowboy in Spanish. I though cooking them was aginst the law. (Beef patty witjh cheese and green chilies on it.)

Good Samaritan Story for you. It seems there isn't anywhere to get water in Lake Havasu unless you go to a park and pay for dump and water. We drove around looking for a kiosk that had a spout with a hose rather than just the kind you put the bottle under the spout. I went into a Circle K gas station and asked the guy behind the counter who was about our age and should have known. He didn't but.....from over by the soda fountain, this guy says - "Hey, you can fill up at my house. I live just around the corner and you can have all the water you want". What a great guy.

Well we talked for about an hour. What a nice guy.

Light rain most of the afternoon today at Gilbert Ray Campground near Tucson. Fun to have Lynn and Roger arrive here and we so enjoyed having them for supper and good visits. Then, they had to walk home in the snow! Yes, I said snow! But, the sun is to return tomorrow and nothing but clear blue skies in our future... yippee! All is well... we are blessed!
