  1. 1995 Georgie Boy Swinger - 34 ft Approx. 78,0000, Gas engine $24,900 for the RV, $5,500 for the toad We are moving to Italy and so we’re selling our completely remodeled RV and Mazda 3 tow vehicle. We’ve been traveling around full time all over the US since July and really enjoyed this motorhome. Despite it’s older looking exterior, the inside is bright and brand new, very spacious and super comfortable! We have upgraded so many things on this RV including a new roof, all new appliances, and a motorized flat screen TV, to name a few. Message me for more photos and I will be happy to email them to you. The list of upgrades is extensive: Kitchen: We built a larger kitchen area that is more conducive for cooking, with additional cabinets and counter space, a residential sink and all new appliances: residential fridge/freezer, gas cooktop and hood, a microwave convection oven, and even a dishwasher. Portable washing machine stores under kitchen counter and works perfect for small loads. Bathroom: We installed a new larger tub/shower combo, new sink and countertop, and new tankless propane hot water heater. Some Interior Upgrades Include: Laminate flooring throughout, new hybrid memory foam and spring queen sized mattress, Max fan in bedroom, upgraded water pump, upgraded LED lights inside & out, and added heat and noise barrier insulation and carpet to the doghouse. Some Major Exterior Upgrades Include: New roof, large awning, air lifts for a smoother ride, tire pressure monitoring system, and spare tire mounted underneath. TV’s: 50” 4K HDR Amazon Fire flat screen smart tv that is mounted on a motorized lift, housed inside a cabinet, blueray DVD player, and a 2nd TV in the bedroom. Radio/Navigation/Cameras: 7” android radio with front & back cameras, new side and center speakers. Generator: New Champion inverter generator with remote start, less than 500 hours on it, 3 yr warranty. Misc: Leveling jacks & steps are electric. Both dash A/C and central A/C blow nice and cold. Both heaters in the living area and bedroom are propane and work great. No slideouts = less things that break! Storage: Tons of storage including a pantry, linen closet, large under bed storage, lots of storage cabinets and drawers in the bedroom and throughout the RV, and large storage compartments on the outside. General Maintenance: new spark plugs and wires, new ignition coil, new serpentine and ac belts, new brake master cylinder, recharged dash AC, and resealed windows. Cat Things: We created a step down into one of the storage compartments below for the litter box with entry under the booth, and a hiding spot in the bedroom that allows them access in and out if the bedroom door is closed. Tow Vehicle: 2009 Mazda 3, Manual transmission, 126K miles, owned since it was brand new, meticulously maintained with documentation. Blue Ox plate installed for towing. New: A/C compressor, serpentine belts, engine mounts, all 4 struts, front tie rods and lower arm suspension, head lights & fog lights.

  12. Here is a quick tip for winterizing that RV fridge if you have the same handles I do https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJ-1YfREYj4
  13. I have a recommendation for any RV'ers visiting Livingston who need to get their inspection done. This place will inspect vehicles, motorhomes, towed trailers, and fifth wheels. There is ample room in front of their shop to maneuver your rig (unlike a couple of the other local inspection places). The fellow who did my inspection was knowledgable about travelers who may be showing up to get their inspection done well after they got their registration (unlike another place that told me I didn't have to get inspected at all). Soda's Auto Repair 936-563-4234 6709 Highway 190 If you are coming from Livingston, head east on 190. Soda's is 6.2 miles after the intersection of 190 and 146. It will be on your left as you near the top of a hill and is across from a cell tower.
  14. I recently installed two Battle Born lithium batteries and an Ames 2000 watt inverter charger into my travel trailer. Here is how it looks all finished up minus the parallel cables for the two batteries, Here is my real world usage for those batteries anybody else using these batteries, I am a big fan. I will no longer carry a generator 2-4 day boondocking trips.
  15. Temperatures are getting chilly overnight, I have a tip for those of us without heat pumps. This allows me to use electric heat and or catalytic heaters that sip propane to warm the entire coach.
  16. $71,300 OBO or TRADE (Trade details below) We bought this 2012 Thor Outlaw Class A motorhome (Model #3611) this past March (2017) and drove it 997 miles back from Texas to KY. It runs perfectly, and we did not have a single problem driving it back from TX. Wife is 5'4" and she drove half the way, no problems -- so if your wife can't drive one of these, well....., I'm just sayin'. Sure enough, we have not used it since March, except to get it inspected, get the grey/black water tanks dumped, and gas it up. I have cranked it up ever other week to run the generator and the engine, lower and raise it off the jacks, and go through the gears. I don’t think we will ever make the grand deluxe trip around the States like I previously imagined. So now, we’re looking to sell it and pass it to someone who will actually drive it around. It has a clear KY title in my possession. It was built on the Ford F53 chassis, which has the Ford Triton V-10 engine, 5 speed automatic transmission with overdrive, 4 wheel disc brakes, etc. It is just over 37ft long and has its own garage INSIDE THE COACH that is 121" long (10ft). Our SMART car fits right in, as do Harley's and trikes, and CanAms, etc No more towing a car and getting stuck where you can't turn around with the trailer. OR, you can tow an additional trailer (with another car or enclosed trailer with merchandise) -- say, if you travelled around to flea markets, etc. It even has its own gas station with pump, hose and nozzle. You can refuel your car, bikes, ATVs without having to siphon or carry gas cans. It has about 21,460 total miles (as of 8JUL17) -- and it is obvious that it was very well maintained prior to us. There is a 4 year complete powertrain and coach warranty (by Cornerstone RV) that is transferable (good until March 2021) -- covers just about EVERYTHING inside and outside, except items requiring usual maintenance, like filters, tires, THERE ARE NO LEAKS! It has sat in the driveway and no problems have been detected. All routine maintenance has been performed, including wipers, lubricating stuck storage door locks, antifreeze change out, etc. We changed the oil and filter in the engine and generator (using Castrol Edge Synthetic oil) just before we drove the RV home to KY -- so about 1000 miles ago. NOTE: The roof over the front cab has been prepped for a re-spray, which will be performed within a few days (old clearcoat had peeled away). Do your homework on these toy-hauler Class A’s; Email us for further or full details and pix. BUT, please don’t make me into a Thor Outlaw salesman – i.e., don’t make me spend 4 hours telling you all the features of the motorhome that you can find on-line. I have done this now 3 times for people, and I do not want to flush away my time anymore doing the salesman job. TRADES? We might be open to trades or trades plus cash, such as: land (not "beachfront in FL"), Bentley GT, other exotic car (but, please, no K-cars or even run-of-the-mill cars)(we already have 2 Porsches and a Jag that get no road time). We live in Shepherdsville, KY, adjacent to Louisville. Thanks for looking. Steve & Sonia (and Zorro, Sheba, and Cassius) CP 410-349-7576 (Please, no calls after 8PM Eastern time)
  17. I'm trying to re-install the warning buzzer in my 1995 MH with Spartan chassis. I can't figure out the wiring. There are several white wire pigtails and a red one, violet one, black one, gray one, and orange one. Could someone clue me in on what goes to the colored wires? It seems to me that the only colored wires coming from the buzzer are for ground and hot wires.

  24. I just posted a blog about us having generator issues in our used 1994 Fleetwood Flair. The Onan 4000 (picture attached) worked when we first purchased the RV, so we know it's capable of working. The first time we visited the RV in storage one week later, the generator also still worked. But by the second visit, a mere two weeks into purchasing the RV, the generator would not sustain. Even as we let the motpr run and charged our batteries, the generator would still not remain on. We tweaked what we could on the generator and tried starting it from the outside as well as the inside but no luck. There are usually a few bangs as if the generator is beginning to turn, but it never sustains. Any tips on easy things to check before taking it in to be serviced? Any advice helps. Thanks!
