I am ready to enroll so I can access some of the supplemental coverage to enhance my ACA plan. But, I've come to a stop as I don't understand what ITG is asking me on a few of these questions. (see attached screenshot) What do they mean by "Date of Hire/Membership" and "Driver/Truck #" and why are they asking for my annual salary? I'm just filling out the form for the $10/mo membership so I can access the enrollment for WellMec and others. Anyone know if there is already a thread on filling this form out properly? Thanks all! Pamela
Hello, my name is Brystal and I am a hospice social worker. Not sure if this is the appropriate place to be contacting y'all but I thought it was a good place to start! I reached out to the Escapees Club a few weeks ago and they mentioned this is the best avenue to finding people who may be able to help with my special request :). I currently have a patient whom is terminally ill and not sure how long she has. She is currently in the Conroe area and working part-time but may be required to stop at anytime due to her illness. When she is forced to stop working she is looking into getting back to Philadelphia where her social/spiritual group is and where she wishes to be laid to rest. She does not feel comfortable utilizing an airplane for transport due to the stress and discomfort from her diagnosis and having to sit up for the duration. When discussing plans for transport she mentioned the Escapees Club and said prior to her becoming ill her plan was to retire and join your club and travel the U.S.! We are hoping by reaching out to you that there is a possibility of a member or member(s) that would be able to assist with her transport from Houston area to Philly. This is her wish and desire if it can be done! This would be a tremendous gift and last wish for such a unique and humbly spirited woman. She is understanding that there will most likely be cost involved but as we are discussing her final wishes we are trying to plan ahead so she can find peace of mind. Thank you all for your time, consideration, and guidance on this request, God Bless!
Hi, I need to select either SD or TX as domicile, and I will be roaming out of state primarily. Reading what has been posted I see the healthcare insurance problem for pre-medicare age retirees. I noticed some discussion that Hillary may have a solution for us, and other concerns mentioned during 2015. Has anyone found "any" solution now for pre-medicare age insurance plans that covers outside the domicile state? For just using the healthcare inside the domicile state are people being rejected simply because they are RVers? I see the tele-medicine support, but is there actually an insurance plan to protect from catastrophic costs? If not, I suppose there isn't much difference between the SD or TX locations. Any input? Thanks, Bill
Many SKPs have asked me to write an eBook about Healthcare & the RV Lifestyle (available at all major eBookstores). Those of you familiar with my books about the RV lifestyle, know I have been fulltiming for 19 years, so I have plenty of experience with issues on the road. Healthcare, though, caught me by surprise. I had no idea it was so complicated. There is a simple answer though, actually two answers, about how to ensure that no matter where you travel in the USA, you can have confidence that your coverage is there. This applies only to those of you entitled to Medicare. If that date is coming up for you, it is important that you know the plan ahead of time. It can save you quite a bit of money. Those of you under 65, however, have a more difficult situation. Unfortunately I cannot offer any suggestions there, but direct you to the Wheeling-It.com blog. I borrowed part of Nina's healthcare post for the introduction to my book so I could offer some direction to the younger set.
