  1. Hello! My husband and I are new to the RV life and are looking to purchase our first camper van. We plan to live in it full time for the next 10 months and take it all across North America. So far we have been drawn to Class B vans that are 21' or less. Yesterday we looked at a used 1999 Road Trek 170 on a Dodge Chassis. It has seen some wear but has had many things replaced and drives well. We took it on the freeway and up a hill and felt good about how it was running. Overall we really liked it and for $10,000 the price seems right. However, it has been well used and has 260K miles on it. At 170 miles the engine was rebuilt. We have not had a chance to get a third party to look at it yet and wanted to see if we could get some advice from the community. At that amount of miles is it really a good idea for our needs?
  2. I am thinking about installing a composting toilet in a camping van project. Does anyone use composting method for their waste? How is working for use? Would you install another composting toilet?
  3. Ready to travel – an RV that drives like a car but has all the features and amenities for your big road trip or weekend get-aways. Excellent condition with key mechanical and RV components replaced means you’ll have years of worry-free driving compared to vehicles the same age without the key repairs/updates performed. I have owned the vehicle for three years and loved it – now I don’t have the time to travel and decided to sell. I bought it from the second owner and the first owner had it for most its life and performed all maintenance meticulously (records available). The vehicle is in great condition all around. Mechanically excellent, well-maintained exterior and very clean interior. The vehicle starts and drives extremely well, there are no rips or tears on the seats and beds and it has always been a pet-free, smoke-free and smell-free vehicle. The RV is listed as a private sale on ebay. To access the listing go to the ebay main page and search for the following item number: 182205939644 (This way you can be sure it is not a link that could be fraudulent) The listing gives all the details of the RV setup and recent repairs and upgrades. The vehicle is located in Athens, GA. Please send me a message if you have any questions.
