  1. Yes absolutely. The Communications Committee provides a website free of charge for residents to list their properties for rent or for sale by owner. http://happytrailsproperties.com/ . The link is on the Happy Trails Community Website. Ours is listed on there because we will be leaving for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  2. If you are ever in the area come visit! Great blog BTW I see you are NASCAR fans. A group from Happy Trails go to the races. We intend to attend the March race with them. Can't make November.
  3. We took his suggestion and drove from Goodyear to Surprise to look into Happy Trails. After spend 3 days looking at options we found a lot that met our needs perfectly. We negotiated the price and here we are!
  4. We own a lot in Happy Trails that we purchased about a year ago. I agree some are over priced. We learned through the process that prices a negotiable especially if it has been on the market for a while. We purchased ours which is a fully covered port for a very fair price. The traffic you described pretty much describes anywhere in AZ including Yuma in the snowbird season. The construction you mentioned is now finished at getting to the mall is much easier. The alternative to taking Bell Road is to use the 303 Loop which will soon bypass I-10 and the airport tunnel coming and going to the West valley from the East. Deeded lots are a rare find for RVers and are well worth it if you intend to return year after year. What we love the most about Happy Trails are the amenities and the socialization. Once you purchase your lot association fees are $142.00 a month and it covers water, sewer, trash and grounds maintenance. We only pay electric besides the $142.00. Park rent is on the rise and we like the idea of not paying it when we are in Arizona for the season.
  5. In Happy Trails the lots are deeded. You are not at the mercy of someone raising your rent annually. Once you make your purchase you owe $142.00 a month for water, sewer, trash and grounds maintenance plus you pay your electric. There is an annual small property tax. Besides RV lots (some fully covered) they offer Park Models, Snuggle wides and large modular homes to choose from. Happy Trails Resort Surprise Arizona
  6. You also need to know to shut off your headlights on the side of the road. Please read about dust storm safety in AZ before traveling the state. Good points Barb.
  7. We are residents @ Happy Trails Resort.
  8. I bet the RV Detail people in the Tucson area are busy!
  9. If you are planning to travel I-10 in Arizona especially near Tucson you need to read this. Arizona Dust Storm Closes I-10 March 2, 2017
  10. Actually they have lots as low as $39k and many in the mid-50's. Check out Surprise Realty here $85k will get you a lot on the golf course. Many lots have Casitas (they call them Arizona rooms) some are fully covered.
  11. You described it well! The amazing thing is the activity in the park is vast. There is a bike club and a few people that ride with the club are over 80 years old. In fact one gentleman is 87! The pickleball club has many champions in their 70's and compete. It is very inspiring! There is a Chuckwagon (volunteer run restaurant) that serves breakfast, lunch and ice cream 6 days a week. Since the lots are deeded many have been residents for years and expand to add Casitas or small homes to their lots and often downsize their RV and keep going.
  12. Thank you for being of service! Wishing you well and enjoyment in Arizona.
  13. While staying in an Arizona RV Park just West of Phoenix a mobile RV technician shared information about a wonderful RV Resort located in Surprise Arizona. The park offers RV lots that can be purchased or rented. It is a beautiful established resort close to shopping and entertainment including Spring training baseball parks. The Park offers all the activities imaginable including Pickleball, Tennis, Golf, and much more. Here is the link for more information Happy Trails Resort
  14. Houston, TX

There is a new RV park in Houston near Galveston that is absolutely beautiful. We stayed here recently to visit friends and we highly recommend it. Marquee RV Resort opened last month and is a great location for visiting NASA the Kemah Boardwalk etc. It is also a great place to stay before or after a cruise leaving Galveston. There is a seafood market nearby and great grocery stores less than ten miles. There is also a shopping outlet about 30 minutes away.

Thank you! We will certainly look in to it!
