Fulltime since June 2008, we spent the first year and a half moving a lot and quickly seeing much of this beautiful country. Then we slowed down to see parts of it in more detail. Now, in 2012, Dave is done traveling but Linda has become a snowbird.
Back in the working world Dave was a computer systems programmer and I was a mail clerk/bookkeeper/writer/and whatever else I felt like doing at the time. Dave was also an Army helicopter pilot including spending a year in Viet Nam which we both managed to survive.
Other than his time in the service Dave spent his whole life in Minnesota while I spent 15 years in Illinois before moving to Minnesota. We met when we were 17 years old and married at 19 so have lots and lots of years together. We have one daughter who has a tendency to move around the country so we're never sure where we will visit her next.
We both grew up in families that camped and have in turn camped via tent, tent trailer, VW camper, class B, class C, class A towing a car, and back to a class B.
Before moving out of the house our primary hobby was model railroading so if you go to our website that's what you'll mostly see. But my blog is now linked there so it's a good place to go to learn about our travels as well.
