  1. I took all battery cables off the batteries. Checked them with nothing on them - and wow - they test at 13.5 and 12.3. now then...I switched the cables and the inverter fired right up. I think the inverter needed to see no power to get a reset. I'm good...up and running. and better yet...I spent no money. thanks for the post - I really did learn a lot.
  2. After talking to another Solitude owner in the park here - his also is a 2020. First - he only has one battery - I have two. So I realized the first battery seems to be for the Slides and Hyd levelers. That Battery is fully charged - like 13.5. My second battery seems to be for the Residential Fridge. This is the one that is now at 1.12.
  3. My inverter switch was in the on position...so it seems the charge was just passing thru. Set it in off position and seems to be recharging battery. REmote switch would then power unit on when needed. Time will tell.
  4. May sound like a crazy question. My inverter is not working. Waco said check the volts. I checked my batteries and they seam to be 0.8. How do they charge - On a 2020 Solitude 373 fb I am tempted to replace the batteries.
  5. No - Kirk. I leave black valves closed until I dump. Thanks
  6. Thanks for the responses. As far as the sensor, I have shut off all other valves and ran hot water down the sink and nothing is coming out the hose outside. So I think sensor is working - it is full. The other comment about the blockage....forgot about that...have heard that comment before. In fact we had a draining problem in the upper bathroom and as mysterious as it was blocked - it was clear.
  7. I have a 373-fb 2020 Solitude. It has a bath and a half. So I have 2 black tanks and 2 grey. The lower bathroom and sink drain to tank 2. I am showing full on the indicator. I have tried to dump the water. I have a bad feeling that the valve is not opening and closing. It has what may be a flex cable from the handle to the valve. I would need to drop the bottom where the insulation is to get to the valve. I am not near the repair center so I will do this myself. Has anyone had this problem where the cable come loose from the valve?
  8. To Clarify - when we bought our Solitude, we did not know of quality issues ( which may be minor). We have been happy with the RV. Maybe now that we have lived in this for almost a year and would go back and look at other units - like the Montana - maybe they all have lightweight material. At some point you move on a decision.
  9. Jim and Alice, When I was plotting out stops on the us2 route - I was thinking it seemed to be a lot of jogs and small towns. I may have to really think of putting 80 back at the top of the list. I have 5 to 10 days to make the trip , just depends how much I want to drive in a day.
  10. We bought a Solitude 373fb 2020. Floor plan a requirement. We wanted a bath and a half. We also want the front bath room with full closet. Before we bought - we bought my brothers 2007 Savoy. That trailer had beautiful window trims and great construction. Since buying the Solitude - we have been very comfortable with the layout. I would say the window trim is - junk. Some one mentioned cardboard and that may be. Hopefully that is the worst of it. We had looked at the Montana - and I loved the legacy package. It included disk brakes and cameras with that option, but we could not find the layout we required. Some one above mentioned VanLeigh. I have watched so many videos from them. Seems like a quality build. But the budget - just would not stretch that far. -ken
  11. If you are traveling across country - do you need to worry about local restrictions on trailer length?
  12. We have been at a few RV Resorts near Houston Texas over the last year and a half and the Galveston Bay Rv Resort and Marina is the best park we have stayed at. We have been at Legends in New Caney TX - very nice small park. We have been at a few of the Quality Resorts - Very Nice. Here in Galveston Bay - we have been here about 6 months - and love the view and palm trees.
  13. Thanks for all the tips. Tee Jay - 80 was our first thought, but the route 2 looks interesting also. We have friends that are in Utah and they are headed to Ohio. We may meet them on road as they head east and we head west. That may determine if we go North route or not.
  14. I have a 2017 3500 Duramax - so I will need to learn to use the engine brake.
  15. Actually - Timing going over bridge in UP Michigan is almost perfect. We Honeymooned at the state park there - 40 some years ago.
