  3. Hey flyfishn thanks for relating how yours was I felt the same slo motion effect. I've been replaying it in my mind constantly. Made it home this evening took 3 days in a rental car.
  4. Last Monday was traveling south from Rapid City and was about 15-20 miles N of a town. Wind picked up severe gusts was told later by sheriff was 60-60 mph gusts. Wind picked up right side of trailer then set it back down, then another gust picked it up again i saw it go past point of no return and over. i was hopeing and praying no one was in next lane that I take Out too thankfully no one else was close front wheels hit shoulder and I flipped I was trapped in side Very soon some good Samaritans came to my rescue and kept me calm and comfortable until rescue arrived. A travel nurse stopped climbed in took vitals and kept me comfortable. Rescue came cut me out and transported me to hospital. im banged up bruised up very sore but still alive, after looking at my truck a few days later I am surprised i was not hurt worst My number must not have come up yet Be safe out there everyone it all happens so fast George the Greek I

  6. It's been a while since I made the deal with camping world, and thought I'd let you know how it went. I was offered a price and was told it was a firm offer unless they found water damage or hail damage. I showed up for the meeting with the camper. First red flag was no one knew I was coming even though I had a "VIP" appointment. After about 15 minutes I was assigned to someone to make the deal. We went out and inspected the camper together. Back in the office he ran some numbers and came up with a price that was $4,000 less than the firm offer. I kept my cool and was ready to walk. I asked him what he found wrong with my camper, and he agreed it was in very good condition. I had a feeling this would happen and had a number in my head as the lowest I would accept. so, we talked a while more. when I asked what his counteroffer was, he said none! Ready to go back home with my camper, I pointed to the number he had written as the new offer and told him "If you change this 2 to a 5, we have a deal" otherwise you have wasted both of our time. I got the line "let me talk to my manager. it's all a game they play. 10 minutes later he comes back and tells me he had to work hard to get me my number, but manager finally said "OK" I just chuckled. I did not get the firm offer number but got the number I wanted. Yes, I could have sold privately and gotten more but did not want the hassle and wanted the quick deal. the check was to come 3-5 days later, and I withheld signing the title until I saw the check. check finally came 3 weeks later after many phone calls. in the end I got what I wanted but so much B S came with the deal I'm just glad it's done George the Greek
  7. I’m a Vet and travel. Haven’t had any issues getting medical care on the road. If I plan to be in an area extended time I will call and get set up at local CBOC. In an emergency I have gone to closest V A ER or Urgent care. If no V A close by there is a program lets us go to privet hospital, however I’ve had some issues with this program. as others mentioned get set up with “myhealthyvet” web site and het the premium version (no cost) can order scripts refills look at appointments read notes providers wrote about you send secure messages to your providers lab reports radiology images and reports and lot of other stuff
  8. Spent the day getting the camper ready. Washed exterior cleared out all my personal belongings and deep cleaned the interior. Headed to C W in the morning. I will let you know how ot goes or works out George the Greek
  9. I want to sell and replace with a 4 season rig not that I want to winter camp but early spring late fall would be warmer in a 4 season. I’ve not had much luck finding what I’d like to buy and prices are inflated. That explains why the good price offered.
  10. Yes actually too good to be true. After some more thought and more E mail from C W, seems that price is not set in stone. also a little high pressure gave me cause for concern. My gut feeling is to walk. Anytime I haven't gone with my gut feeling I've regretted it. G The G
  11. Yes i thought about that. Not sure If ill but an upgrade now or later or never. Tuff decision
  12. I’ve been thinking of selling my 2020 springdale 1860 SS i bought new used it two summers of full time travel. Its in very good shape new tires last summer bla bla bla. Camping world needs or wants used rigs they made a hard offer of just under $700 less than I paid. Has anyone got experience with selling to them? The offer is good for 5 days George the Greek
  13. Thanks for the info on “get r v parts” I will keep that information. I tried to buy the entire gas valve assembly before I knew it was the coil. I had both the old and new part number seemed like no one had them in stock. Of course they all blamed Covid 19 for lack of parts. Seems this is now the go to answer for everything 🥸 g t g
  14. I have not been able to insert a picture. Id been reading the posts on refrigerator issues. Then one day out of the blue mine developed an issue. I could run on 110 but not gas. Being I do a lot of boon docking in remote areas I needed the gas to operate. Tracing the issue my igniter was not getting powered, Changed the chip board and igniter started clicking and sparking but no flame I checked all grounds again. Could not hear the coil opening the gas flow or smell any gas. More testing realized the little coil that sits on top of the gas valve assembly was at fault. The only was I could buy one was to buy the entire valve assembly for $212. I lucky ran into someone that had a wrecked camper and gave me the coil. put it on and had gas flow and ignition. id called a few R V repair shops all dais 3 or 4 weeks before we can look at it and leave it with us. It would require 3 or 4 hours of diagnostic time. Long story short I fixed it my self. the new chip board was from Dinosaur and has a control knob on the board to adjust the temp, the old one did not have an adjustment other than the thermistor. It came factory set on #3 and seems to be a good setting.

  17. A few days now since I took pump apart and cleaned it no leaking back yet.
  18. I pulled out the pump this afternoon, and took it apart. I cleaned it best I could put it back together and seems to be OK now. I might still order a repair kit online. The dealers only want to sell me a new pump George the Greek
  19. I don't have that valve on mine its a hose connection for city water. And An inlet to fill fresh tank
  20. Oh boy the simple things are most often the hardest to find. Stopped at a few R V places and the parts counter people say they never heard of a problem like this or a rebuild Kit. Of course they are quick to sell me a new pump for about a hundred and fifty dollars. i am about to open the area the pump is and pull it And takeoff the head and see if some little bit of something isn’t holding it open then if it isn’t I guess I’ll try to order a rebuild kit online $19 for the kit is a lot better than $150 for a new pump the The camper and the pump is only about a year old
  21. Hello all When I use fresh tank and 12 volt pump it works fine. My issue is when I hook up to hydrant at a park it is all OK except that water back feeds into the fresh tank. Its slow and If I let it go long enough it would fill the tank. I usually open the drain valve and let it drip out. The ground is wet under the valve. Ive looked at the plumbing (all pex) and don't see any check valve in line. I believe there must be a check valve in the pump. Am I thinking correct? Do I tear into the pump and see what is what, and do a repair is it repairable? or do I buy a new pump? thanks for any guidance George the Greek
  22. I e found the winters to be mostly mild but then again i am from Wisconsin originally. The first two winters I stayed were quite nice 50’s and 60’s some 70’s. Last year Dec and Jan were cold some nights below freezing and a few snow storms, but then again look what happened in Texas.

  24. I've spent the past 3 winters in and near T or C I like it. there is a few nice parks and some not so nice. The town is slow paced with thermal hot spring pools to soak in. Active senior center with meals dances and card games. last year Covid changed things a bit.
