  1. Hello, replacing the motor 37697 on 8531-IV furnace, Or trying to...the bad motor is stuck real good. All videos show easy removal this is not. I’ve removed Allen screw on exhaust side and on fan side. Removed fan and pulling on motor n motor rod and won’t budge. Hitting motor rod on exhaust end with wrench and it won’t come off. Am I missing something? What can I do ? I’ve been at it for hours. Update Tried to to post picture to illustrate where I’m at, but looks like there’s a pic size limit. No progress made other than spraying wd 40 inside the Allen threading on the circular housing to the motor shaft. Held a lighter to heat end on exhaust side to hammer it out. Unsuccessful. A blow torch was recommended so will try that tomorrow. Everything is off that needs to be to my knowledge. Allen screws, the s bracket, fan on motor side. just need motor to slide out of exhaust fan and housing on exhaust side but won’t budge even a millimeter. Someone said cut motor shaft end off with an oscillating tool and stick a dremel down the hole on exhaust side till it eats it all up. Fingers crossed for a conclusion update 2 Maybe this info might help someone who has a stuck motor shaft. I loosened motor enough to take oscillating saw tool cut through motor shaft then hammered remainder out with a short screw driver or use a punch bit. 3 day project Done. Great design Atwood great design.
