  1. Hi Donald, I expect the Jeep to be sold by May. It is currently in southern Missouri. It could easily get to the Cocoa Beach area, as I have family and friends all along the east coast of Florida that I visit often. I haven’t been successful at uploading pictures on this discussion board. If you’ll give me an email, I would be happy to send pics.
  2. I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport fully equipped to tow - Blue Ox receiver, lighting kit, and Patriot II braking system. Only towed 1600 miles. Excellent condition. I've purchased a small travel trailer and truck combo and no longer need the Jeep as a Toad or personal vehicle. The Jeep may be a bit heavier than you are looking for (I think around 3,800 lbs.) I have family in the Houston area, so I would be willing to get it to Texas. Let me know if you're interested and I'll give you my contact info.
  3. Ah yes, that is a big part of it...needs and desires change. I can say I'm understanding much better what is really important to me and what just saps my energy. Thank you and good traveling to the both of you!
  4. This connects to a book I recently read called, Nomadland. This book is mainly about people who didn't necessarily choose the mobile (RV, Van, Trailer...) lifestyle, it was more or less thrust upon them due to financial situations. However, it was interesting how they came to love the freedom, community, and close relationships they found along the way. Many talked about "finding their tribe." Interesting read!
  5. I have recently ordered a Casita 17' Freedom Deluxe, to be ready in March of 2019. I feel like I've been living the Goldilocks tale for the past several years. I began with a Car-go lite trailer from Micro-lite, pulled by a Jeep Wrangler. It was cute and sleek, easy to tow. I took several short trips, which were fine. A month long trip to Colorado did me in. I was tired of changing clothes while lying down! Next I went to a Winnebago Navion 24J and pulled the Jeep Wrangler. This was a great setup and a beautiful rig. However, I often travel alone (with my dogs) and the energy it took me to ensure everything was hooked up, latched down, secured, locked...was too much. It took the joy right out of the journey! So, I feel like I've moved from "too small" to "too big" to now... "just right." I'm going to pull the Casita with a new Honda Ridgeline. I'm excited about getting back into part-time RVing and I'm especially excited to feel like I can do this on my own when I have the desire. Anyone have a "journey to the right one" story in their RV experiences?
  6. 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport, 2-door, Freedom Hardtop, 6-speed manual transmission, V6, Color=Red, One Owner, non-smoker, New Tires (Goodyear Wrangler SR-A 255/75R17), RV Tow ready (Blue Ox baseplate, lighting kit installed, including Patriot II braking system), Connectivity Package (Bluetooth, hands free UConnect), leather wrapped steering wheel, shifter, and console, 67,500 miles, all scheduled maintenance performed, parked under cover, no accidents, no off-road driving, excellent condition!, $18,500 Only towed 1650 miles. Used for personal vehicle and mostly highway miles. This has been a great vehicle and I hate to part with her. I'm shifting from an RV towing a vehicle, to a truck pulling a travel trailer for my adventures. I want to downsize and simplify my life, so having multiple vehicles is not part of my future! I hope this Jeep can find just the right home. Photos and more info available, if interested.
